    Summary

Flins rests one ungloved hand on Varka's side.
He's a furnace as always, running hot where Flins is always just a touch too cold. It must be uncomfortable for Varka; Flins eagerly leeches off his body heat without having any to share himself. But just as with so many other things, Varka does not complain. He presses Flins deeper into his embrace, envelopes him in his warmth to the point where Flins soon can't remember what being cold felt like to begin with.

    Summary

    “Kyryll,” he starts, “don’t–”
Flins lifts his gaze, golden eyes molten. “What do you mean?”
Varka loses his words entirely as Flins watches his cheeks burn scarlet. The towel slides along both of Varka’s thighs before gently drying his calves.
When he’s finished, Flins rises, standing so close that their bodies brush against one another, their breaths intertwining. Standing on the tips of his toes, Flins leans into Varka’s neck, pressing a gentle, butterfly soft kiss onto the scarred skin.
“Come,” Flins says, his voice as soft as the flame of a candle. “There is more room in the bedroom.”
“That sounds like a good idea, little lamplight,” Varka replies, following a mere half-pace behind the Fae.

Following the battle against Rerir, Grand Master Varka finally convinces Flins to take a much needed period of rest. When the light keeper protests, Varka takes matters into his own hands.

    Summary

“Ha! Not even the King of Kremnos can defeat the Great Imperator in drinks,” Cerydra crows, slurring proudly. “I shall remain the greatest, most undefeatable in history!”

That actually gets Mydei to perk up. He sluggishly lifts his head, the movement so unsteady that Phainon’s hands shoot out to steady him by the shoulders. Mydei doesn’t even seem to notice—which is worrying. Sure, this might be an era of peace for them, but would he really let anyone touch him like this when he’s this drunk?

“Pah! Hish—history?” Mydei fires back, the word wobbling out of his mouth so badly Phainon briefly wonders how much they’ve been drinking. “I’ll—I’ll tell you about history. It starts in Cycle Zero.”

    Wait. What.

When Aglaea asked him to pick Mydei up after a drinking session with Cerydra, Phainon did not expect to hear Mydei recount all the different ways he has loved across 33 million cycles.

    Summary

Returning to the Flagship and lending Flins his clothes is definitely done out of pure intention. He's genuinely trying to take care of the fae and he has long learned that it's in Flins' nature to be quite mischievous, but...

With the calmness and the elegant grace of a smug cat, the ratnik turns his head and looks up at him with a pleased, challenging smile on his face.

“As I said before, you’re a very warm and comfortable chair.” Flins shrugs. "One hundred percent recommended for a wet and cold fae."

    .

(A disbelieving bark of laughter automatically escapes Varka at the bold move.)
(But even then, affection seeps out of him as he pats and strokes the side of Flins’ head, before sliding to the fae's temple and rubbing it slowly.)
