“Jax!” She shrieks, chest heaving with ten adventures worth of pent-up rage. “You’re doing it again!”
His head ticks slightly to the side, and he mumbles, “Doing what?”
“That!”
“That?”
“This!”
“This,” he repeats, and Ragatha is slowly starting to believe that there’s something severely wrong with him in the head.
Ragatha is tired and Jax makes everything worse, as he does with most things.
Only this time, it's completely out of line with his character.

Summary
After episode 7, how could anything possibly fall back into place like how it was before? How else would you respond to your whole world falling apart? Hope as a mirage? Your own vulnerability used against you? It's quite interesting how strong of an emotion hope is, or rather how big of an absence it leaves when it's torn from your grasp So, when all else fails why not go back to being the doormat you've always been (but maybe with a little more pretending), and with that, maybe you can forget about the tensions between people that care (or don't care) about you. At least, until you're forced on another adventure and required to team up with the one who makes you feel the worst.

Ragatha and Jax are knights in shining armor and can't do anything about it.

Summary
Whenever Ragatha was sick, her mom would tell her that it isn't a big deal. That it's all in her head.
Jax stared at her closed eyes longer than he meant to. The feverish girl was asleep. Asleep. They didn’t need to sleep. They were just digital puppets playing along. What did it even mean to take care of someone who wasn’t technically alive? What did it say about him pressing wet cloths on fake fabric skin?
