“Okay.” It wasn’t nearly as important as an interview, sure, but Dean didn’t know why that was something to hide.
Dean wasn't looking at Sam, but he could still feel Sam staring. When Dean finally did look over at Sam, he had the impatient look of a teacher waiting for the lesson to finally click. There was something Dean was supposed to figure out here, but for the life of him, he didn’t know what it was. So Sam had an appointment? So what?
Eventually Sam sighed. “I had an appointment at Planned Parenthood.”
Dean knew which parts Sam had, but there were some things he tried to forget. Everything was just so, so much easier if he didn’t think about how Sam could get pregnant.
No, not could get pregnant. Sam was pregnant, with his dead girlfriend's baby, and from the look in Sam’s eyes, he was not scheduling another appointment.

Sam just had to make sure. Just one test to make sure it was just a delusion, and then he’d ask Dean to drop him off at the nearest emergency room. In a week, he would walk out with shiny new antipsychotics and that would be that.
He took it right at the store. No reason to leave evidence of his absurdity behind in the motel. He pissed on the stick, then waited to finally, finally have proof that the whole thing was just a delusion that had gone on too far.
Sam didn’t expect to keep hallucinating.
At least. It had to be a hallucination. He peed on it with his dick. Obviously he wasn't pregnant. The second line was all in his head.
But well. It was Lucifer. Who knew what Lucifer could do?
He needed to ask Dean.

Dean had left the package of panties lying out on the dresser. Now they were next to Dad. Not only that, Dad had taken out a pair and set it in his lap. He stared right through them.
Dean left them out. It was his own fault. Out of everyone in the world who could have found out, it was the one person who mattered.
Dean had thought a million times about what to do if he was caught. Mostly, he imagined it to motivate himself to keep it all hidden. No matter which scenario he ran in his head or what Dean did, the outcome was never pretty. The real solution, as far as Dean was concerned, was to never let anyone know at all. It was too late for that now.
Dean didn’t think about what to say. The words fell out automatically. “I’m sorry, sir. It won’t happen again.”
Dad didn’t respond. Instead, his eyes stayed fixed on his lap. It was like he'd never seen a pair of panties before. Several moments passed in silence, before finally, his face settled into a slight smile. “We’re more alike than I thought,” he said softly. He still didn’t look up.

“I’m sure I saw her come in here,” the shorter man said. Ao3 was sure she recognized him from some truly mind-numbing parties last winter. That was Reddit, looking closely at each person in the shop. Ao3 tried to emanate uninteresting and unfamiliar vibes in his general direction.
