“No,” Anakin said. His voice was steady, with a cynical edge. “I think he’s ashamed of me for being me."

Obi-Wan overhears Ahsoka asking Anakin about his origins and can't quite ignore the temptation to stick around and listen to the remaining conversation. But Anakin's explanation of his life as a slave and then later a Jedi turns out to not be entirely accurate, and Obi-Wan is compelled to intercede.

Summary
Jango Fett didn't mean to restart the Mandalorian Empire. He just kept accidentally acquiring planets after their leaders proved too corrupt to leave in place. Nobody told the Republic that (or if they did, they didn't believe it), so they decide to send a tribute to the Warlord.
Obi-Wan Kenobi, freshly knighted Jedi with a Padawan adopted in the heat of the moment, is chosen to sate the Warlord's desire for conquest. He's not happy about it, but when the senate sends him he must go. Fortunately, the unreasonably pretty warlord seems to mainly want him to do paperwork.
And Jango Fett might just save the Galaxy for his gorgeous new Jedi assistant and his adorable feral murder child.

In the holovid, the golden-eyed Anakin looked at something just out of frame. There was something distinctly hungry and possessive about that gaze. It made a shiver run up Obi-Wan's spine--because he recognized that look. He'd seen Anakin look that way at Senator Amidala.But it wasn't Senator Amidala who stepped into the camera's view. It wasn't Senator Amidala the Sith yanked closer and kissed.
It was Obi-Wan.
