    Fauna was surprised when she’d agreed to come with her, despite her warnings. The forest wasn’t known for very much, aside from the occasional rumor about something in between the trees, stalking. Hiking through a forest was a bit new to her, but the rest she was used to—she recorded paranormal happenings for fun, it was practically her element.
    But as they walked together, it felt as if the forest had a life of its own, and they began to lose their way.
