With a child of his own to dote on, Robert Baratheon became a better man, and, subsequently, a better king. As a husband, he's only so-so but he is married to Cersei, there's only so much he can do. The flap of that butterfly wing sure spread far and wide.

Summary
In one tapestry, the gods were blessed with a plethora of children and descendants. But with so many blessings, their once joy at their children turned to expectation and ambivalence. The fates were all but tangled in the abundant threads they had at their fingertips to work into their weaves.
Another much more tragic tapestry was threadbare in comparison. The Fates having little to work with. Their work thin and frayed from over worked and broken threads.
Surely no one would notice if some threads went missing from an over full basket?
