It's the summer of 1986, and Nancy is tired of waiting. Waiting for Vecna to strike again. Waiting to leave Hawkins. Waiting to say things she should have said months ago. Summary
The system is flawed.
Nancy knows flawed systems, and she knows them well. She knows to question the textbooks, the politicians, the easy assumptions. The world has split enough under her feet. She's chased enough leads that have led somewhere unexpected — rats aren't always just rats and uneven accounting is sometimes just evidence of bribery. She knows easy answers aren't always the correct ones, Occam's razor be damned.
