Summary
Somewhere in the house, wooden floorboards creaked. Ghost's eyes snapped open, his head up and silent as he listened. There, again, below him. The distinctive groan of old floorboards under boots. One of his hands moved to his holster, the other to his radio.
“There's a mouse in my house.” He whispered to Johnny. He followed the sound of footsteps through his floorboards. He was so focused on the door, on listening to that footfall get closer and closer, that he forgot about his six. He forgot about the open window at his back, the one she had just crawled through, silent as the wind. He felt her before he saw her, before he heard her, felt the muzzle brush against his neck.
“Don’t fucking move."He turned, and she nodded to the floor, “On your knees.”
Ghost clenched his fists, “Say please.”
She raised an eyebrow at him before making her way closer to him, “On your knees, please.”
He couldn’t help the curve of his lips under his mask, “Good girl.”
He lowered himself to his knees, eyes on her. She took two steps to him, hands fisted.
She smiled down at him sweetly, “Thank you.”
Her fist connected with his face.
Blood sprayed. This is a love story.
Eventually.

Summary
The dog tags around her neck had once meant something, her status as a soldier, a special operative in the top of her class. Now it reads only a simple string of numbers “3-1-14-9-14-5”. A moniker and reminder of her status here as one of many. Expendable, disposable, a lab rat and nothing more.
If they wanted a ferocious animal, she was more than willing to give them exactly that. It wasn’t her fault that ferality came with no loyalty to anyone but the hand that fed her… and she had been starved for far too long. After being kidnapped during a botched mission and held hostage in a military testing and training facility for far too long, Captain John Price gives her a second chance to harness her now feral and defensive nature and regain her status as a force to be reconned with alongside Task Force 141. She owes them her life, and the more time she spends with them, the more devoted she becomes.

[unknown number]
not fuvkin comig in tmr.I blinked, then tapped the notification.
[Me]: ???
[unknown number]: fk it. what ar yo goin do? disvcarge me.?I stared at the nearly incomprehensible message. Clearly, whoever was on the other end was in no state of mind to be typing. My finger hovered over the three dots in the top corner, ready to block them, but I hesitated. In that moment, another message came through.
[unknown number]: wish u wld. sick if it all. kick me our alrdy.
[unknown number]: less then I can off mself witou geying u in trobleBefore I even realized what I was doing, I pressed call on the mystery number, holding the phone to my ear. Whoever this stranger was, they were obviously further along in a similar boat to me. A kindred spirit.
He picked up on the fifth ring.
“...Fuk ye wan?” The man muttered, voice slurring heavily, his thick accent not making it any easier to understand him.
I swallowed. I hadn't actually thought about what happened when I got this far.
“H-hey,” I stuttered, voice embarrassingly weak. “I think you texted the wrong number but…I wanted to check on you?” -

Summary
Johnny “Soap” MacTavish was the newest member of the 141 motorcycle club. He’s the youngest and gets taken under “Lieutenant” Simon “Ghost” Riley’s wing.
Johnny is protective of few people in his life, few people he would die for but you, his step-sister is at the top of that list.
You and Johnny have been step-siblings for close to ten years, and he’s your best friend. He is your older, protective brother and you know he’d do anything to keep you safe.
When he joins the 141, you’re excited for him, worried but excited. Likewise, Johnny brags about you any chance he has telling anyone who will listen that his sister is brilliant and the first of your family to go to college.
In order to save money, you move in with Johnny while you go to school. And through Johnny, you meet Ghost. A meeting that is unexpected given how protective Johnny is of you, though not at all stagnant.
It sparks something in you, and in Ghost. And it all started from the moment he muttered “Princess” when you opened the door for him.

“IF YOU KEEP FEEDING THAT DOG IT’S GOING TO KEEP COMING BACK.”
“I DON’T MIND HIM. HE COULD COME BACK EVERY DAY AND I WOULD FEED HIM.”
