Summary
Love. He thinks about what it could be like. He's never given it much thought before, accepting it at face value. But what does it actually mean to be loved by a God?

Summary
“Hello.” The Lamb jumps at the sound of the soft voice behind him, his heart skipping a beat. As he spins around, he takes in the sight in front of him. A beautiful, slender boy was standing beside the altar, watching him with gentle curiosity. The sight of the boy, as soft and pretty as a flower bathed with morning dew, standing near something so morbid creating a jarring contrast. “Are you admiring the altar?”
The Lamb blinks, his heart still racing in his chest. He nods slightly, unable to speak.
“Do you like it?” The boy, the God, he realises, runs His fingers over the stone, tracing the old, faded carvings lovingly. An affectionate smile flickers across His expression. “I wasn't sure what to set out for you, so I hope it's alright.”
(Or: A boy is chosen as a sacrifice to appease his God, who turns out to be much different than expected.)

Summary
It’s official. Megumi has gone crazy.
He can’t quite put a name on the emotion swelling up in his chest, so he’s doing his very best to ignore it. He’s sore, bloody and tired, and absolutely not up to dealing with Gojo-sensei right now. Even so, he can’t just ignore him, so he does his best to listen. He’s talking about this Itadori guy having potential as a vessel, and Megumi nods along numbly, almost in a daze. He’s caught off guard when Gojo-sensei turns to him, a self-satisfied expression on his face.
“So… Question for ya, Megumi.” He jerks his head at the unconscious boy who’s weight he’s supporting. “What do I do with him?” Megumi blinks, thrown off by the sudden question, but answers anyway.
“Even if he has potential as a vessel… He must be executed under Jujutsu Regulations.” He hesitates just slightly. “But I don’t want to let him die.” He’s surprised at how easily he says it, as if he knew that as a fact all along.
(Or: All the times Fushiguro Megumi realised his feelings for Itadori Yuuji.)

he can't quite remember when it began. this warm, fuzzy feeling in his chest when he was with her. it made him louder, more confident, happier. he wanted to impress her, watch her face light up and her eyes glitter. it gave him him a better rush than winning at the casino, though he'd never admit that aloud.

Summary
He takes a moment to look up at the glowing lanterns that litter the night sky. He can see why the humans like this tradition, the sight is truly beautiful. Perhaps he would appreciate it too if the glow of the lanterns didn’t act as a beacon for the demons he fights, drawing them closer to the harbour and forcing him to be on higher alert.
He forces himself upright, ignoring his aching muscles. He still has a few hours left until dawn.
(Or: Lantern Rite attracts a lot more demons than most days and Xiao has to push his limits)

Summary
The room is too bright.
It’s quaint, in a nauseating sort of way. Polished floors glint from the gleaming honeycomb chandeliers overhead, make him squint. A few vases sprinkled here and there, filling the room with a sickeningly sweet scent – even a waffle-cone headrest framing the silken sheets of a neatly-tucked bed. Outside, the golden sun gleams, the gentle rays of light spilling past curtains that waver in the afternoon breeze.
It's meant to be beautiful. Luxurious. Welcoming.
With one sweep of his cane, Shadow Milk tears it apart.

Summary
“Ah,” Aventurine said, rubbing his arm, “so that’s why they had us refresh all our vaccinations before this trip. We’re not in any danger of falling ill, are we? I’d hate to ruin such a nice vacation.”
“It’s unclear,” Ratio said. Aventurine side-eyed him, looking less relaxed now. But if those folktales had any merit to them at all, “more likely, no.”
They were approaching the town now, inclined turquoise shingles peeking out over the edges of the treeline. It seemed like every building here was overgrown with flowers—flowers burst from the vines on white stucco walls, bouquets hung from the bucket-laden stalls at every corner, and almost all the windows were decorated with boxes abundant with blooms.
“It’s beautiful, but,” he grimaced, voicing Ratio’s thoughts aloud, “a little morbid, isn’t it?”
To a scientist, mythology and fairy tales are simply veneers that warp and obscure the truth. And to a doctor, diseases are problems that can be solved with logic rather than love.

Summary
Here was the risk that Ratio had been anticipating. He made a move to enter, but beyond the doorless opening he heard a sound.
“Dr. Ros.” It was Aventurine. Ratio suppressed a groan. How could he be so stupid? Didn’t he know that this room was what Eosphoros-I was famous for? He prepared to stride inside and drag whoever was there out to a proper meeting room—
—before he stopped short at the sight of himself.
On a distant planet slated for IPC acquisition, there exists a room designed to extract one’s deepest desires.

This is a story about how one day, a heartstopping meeting shook Dr. Ratio's entire perfectly optimized life.

Summary
It was so easy for Aventurine to lean against Ratio with all of his weight, to allow himself to let the doctor do all of the walking whilst Aventurine stumbled over his own feet. Aventurine realized this at some point, and as far as revelations go, he had to say he hated this one in particular. He rarely let himself get like this, because the last thing he wanted was to be pulled around by the whim of another person without any power to stop it. That was dangerous... and not in a way he liked. Yet he did not feel anything dangerous pressed against Veritas Ratio… and that was a realization he did not care to ruminate on. “I think I’m going to throw up,” Aventurine said.
The doctor sighed tiredly. “Please don’t.”
