Summary
When Mizi initially returned to their dorm, Ivan and Till tried waiting, only sharing concerned glances and offering hesitant questions when she didn’t answer their greetings and made a beeline for the bathroom.
It was the first day Mizi had left the dorm since Sua’s funeral. They didn’t expect her to be fully okay by any means. So they let her have her time in there, she would come to them when she was ready, as she always did.
That was fifteen minutes ago, and it had been ten minutes since her crying went noticed and the boys came knocking. It had all felt much slower to them.
But so, so fast to Mizi.
Or...
Mizi struggles after Sua's passing and acts drastically. Her friends are there to support her, if only they could get through to her first.

A sudden, heavy feeling of dread hung over her at her thought.
Maybe the excitement was messing with her head. What was that supposed to mean? How could this not be real? She was now fixed on the sight of the grand expanse surrounding them. She ignored the barely noticeable orange haze that covered her vision. She ignored the quiet, constant buzz that swarmed her ears, coming from nowhere and everywhere.
This was everything she wanted right here.

Steven swallowed, looking out across the ocean. The sun had almost disappeared, the red sky growing purple. They thought he was happy, that he was thriving. He couldn’t be the one to pull them out of that fantasy, not when they were finally able to grow on their own. Steven forced his lips into a smile, and it felt so easy. Everyone had enough to worry about, he didn’t need to add to the list of things. No-one else should have to have to fix him.

Everyone is finally happy, growing and thriving. The Crystal Gems loved helping run Little Homeschool, and loved teaching new gems everything about Earth, and how embrace change. But Steven... Steven was struggling. Glowing pink, unstable, and unwilling to let anyone else worry about him, his spiral downwards can only get worse.

The Core was appalled on how long it took for the three stones to come. But this meant the box was on Amphibia again, which means they wouldn’t be stuck in the godforsaken basement for long.
The Core needed everything to fall into place, and they didn’t trust Andrias to see it done. No, it wanted to do this itself. So when Andrias tried to shy away from the idea of killing Wit.
It got an idea. A devilish idea. Of course, if its plan was going to work it would have to become almost transparent, hidden in the folds of her mind. The Core didn’t mind this. After all, it had been stuck in a basement for many years.
So when it finally inhabited the body of someone so spunky. It was pleased. Seeing the world through the girl's eyes. For all it had to do was wait and bide its time. Hidden in the mind of Wit.
