Chapter Text
"Hey!" I heard Uliana yell as me, Mal and Hades ran off laughing.
"Hay's for horses, Uli dear!" I called back.
We'd just shoved her and Morgie in "my" kissing closet and oh, was it beautiful...
"How long are we gonna leave them in there?" Mal asked.
"Oh, long enough for them to realize they're in love and start dating." I answered.
"Suppose how long that'll be..."
"Oh, I don't know. It didn't take us very long, now did it?" Hades teased.
"No, but do remember, they aren't us."
"No, they're not us. Bet they wish they are though..."
"Everyone does." she agreed and she kissed him.
"Oh cut it out..." I said, laughing.
"What? It isn't our fault you don't have a girlfriend." Hades remarked.
"Or rather, it isn't our fault you have too many girlfriends..." Mal added.
"Oh hush, lest we forget I gave up my kissing closet for the afternoon for your crazy plotting. I had my eye on Meadow, ya know..."
"I still can't believe you're into Meadow." Mal laughed.
"Since when have you been into Meadow?" Hades, who was obviously out of the loop in my personal affairs, questioned. "What have I missed?"
"Not long, so you haven't missed all that much..."
"That much!?"
"Just drop it, babe." Mal told him.
"No, don't drop it, it might break." I mumbled sarcastically. Mal gave me a glance.
"Better yet, drop him." she cackled.
"Now now, Malsy, don't be hasty..."
"Don't be an irritation..." she reasoned.
"Can't do that, Malsy."
"Then I can't promise how hasty I will or won't be."
"It'd be okay with me if you'd be hasty with deciding to marry me..." Hades told her.
"And it'd be okay with me if you'd be hasty with deciding to ask me to marry you..." she answered.
I decided to go back to the closet to see what I could hear. I walked up slowly, trying to make sure they wouldn't hear me. In soft, hushed voices I could hear them discussing things.
"So Morgie, do you really find me... Tolerable?" she asked.
"More than tolerable, actually, Uliana." he answered.
"Well then, would you be okay with hanging out, ya know? Just us without the whole gang and all?"
"Yeah, but one question."
"Okay."
"Do we have to be all gushy like Mal and Hades?"
She laughed so hard she snorted. "Heck no! I mean, not now. If we decide to later, you can bet we'll rival them."
"Even gushier than Mal and Hades? Never. On a better note, Mother will love you."
"Yeah, and Father will hate you, which somehow makes it all the more enticing..." she laughed again. It was common knowledge that Uli hadn't lost any love for her father. "So, we're a thing now, right?"
"Yeah, I suppose we're a thing now..."
"Good. But just to get back at the others, let's pretend this went terribly and we now hate each other with a passion. Make them doubt their matchmaking abilities."
"Sounds beautiful, Uli." he laughed.
Ooh, this was gonna be fun. And then, I ran off to tell the lovebirds about the other lovebirds. And maybe, just maybe, I'd run into Meadow...
