“Alright, thank you.” Shadow milk sighed, putting the phone down and hanging up. “Does he have any emergency contact? Call them and inform them of what happened. I’ll go get Pure vanilla and tell eternal sugar what happened.” He said, walked out of the room.
Wind archer simply nodded and made sure that fire spirit wouldnt hit his head against something else ig he were to faint again.
“Who do you want me to call.” He asked the barely conscious fire spirit.
“H-huh? Call dadddd” he mumbled.
“Pitaya? Alright.”
*insert ringtone or smth idfk*
“What do you want child.” Pitaya said over the phone.
“Hiiii daddd” fire spirit slurred.
“Hey uh, this is Pitaya dragon, fire spirits father, right?”
“Yes, it is. Who are you and why do you have my son’s phone.” They demanded.
“It’s wind archer. Fire spirit fainted in his dorm earlier and hit his head against the edge of the corner, causing him to start bleeding really badly, I’ll send a picture.” He sent a pic of fire spirit and his bandages head with a lot of blood on the floor, all seemingly coming from fire spirit.
“Oh my god..” wind archer could just HEAR the facepalm. “Why’d you call me first instead of 911?”
“We already did, they’re coming.”
“Good. Do you know how long he has been lying there for?”
“No, Im not his roommate and Jagae was out when it happened, we only came back recently.” Wind archer admitted.
“Oh my god..” they groaned. “How am I gonna explain how much of a moron fire spirit is to get himself in this type of situation to his daughter.” He mumbled. “Go call Stormbringer, she’s probably gonna want an explanation.” And just like that, he hung up.
“That was strange..” he called Stormbringer next, letting the calling sound just play out on speaker.
“What do you want fire spirit?? Im kinda busy right now.” Stormbringer said.
“It’s wind archer, actually. Fire spirit most likely just got a concussion from fainting and hitting his head against the edge of the counter. He’s bleeding really badly right now, here I’ll just send you a photo for context.”
“YES HE OWES ME 20 BUCKS- wait what.” She paused, “I’ll be there in a minute hold on.” And then she hung up.

The ambulance arrived and took fire spirit away on a stretcher with both Stormbringer and wind archer watching.
“This was NOT on my 2026 bingo card this year.” Stormbringer looked disappointed..?
“..We should probably get going to the hospital. Cmon, get in the car Stormbringer.” Wind archer said, opening the car door.

Pitaya was already there waiting. I mean it wasnt a surprise, they were his father, after all. Hollyberry and eternal sugar were there, too. They both had worried expressions on their faces, Pitaya looked annoyed on the other hand. Wind archer sat next to eternal sugar, having known her the best. Stormbringer looked fucking terrified but was trying (and failing) to hide it.
“H-hey how about I sit next to eternal sugar and you sit next to Pitaya w-wind archer..” she stuttered.
“There’s literally another seat right next to me.” He monotoned.
“Oh.” She said sitting right next to him while mouthing something to eternal sugar.
“Ah, would you just look at the time! I have got something to do, I’ve been procrastinating on it for far too long! I’ll see you at home, my sweet.” She dramatized then kissed Hollyberrys forehead. “Do tell me when he wakes up please, I want to be there for him.”
They waited awhile before Stormbringer said, “Yknow, Pitaya might look all tough n’ all.. but they does have a soft spot for their children. They’re tapping their foot because they’re worried about him, not because they’re annoyed.”
That made more sense. “..I’ll be going now, too. Im not that close to him so it would be kind of awkward if I were to be here when he woke up.” Wind archer stated, standing up.

It was kinda horrifying, ya know? Looking at this person you’ve known almost all your life in a hospital bed. There were IV bags attached to him, she felt like she was on the verge of crying. It wasn’t because Pitaya was there that she was terrified, it was because of how she knew hospitals never meant anything good for the person in the bed.
Everyone eventually left, leaving only her left in the room with fire spirit. She walked up to his bed, looking at the unconscious body of her best friend. The doctors had put him under a medically induced coma. She could feel tears start to form in her eyes, it didn’t seem like she could hold it in anymore. She didn’t like crying in front of people, but maybe just this once.
“You don’t know your worth in this town do you..” she started, putting her hands on the edge of the bed. “All I can hope for is for you to get better ‘cause all I could take is no more.. so I’ll hide where I can, and wait for you and your friends.” she started to cry, getting on her knees and lying her head down on the bed. “I-I told you to be careful.. I knew this would happen. Why d-didn’t you listen to me? I know i act dumb all the time, but I’m not. S-so why..?”
It was getting late, and she was getting tired from crying. She needed to take agar agar here tomorrow, the only problem being is that she didn’t know how to drive. Wind archer could probably help her.
“This isn’t fair.. why did all of this have to happen to you?” Stormbringer mumbled, closing her eyes and falling into a deep sleep.
