“Do you… Do you ever think about her still? In that way?” Will asks tentatively, holding his breath. If he lets himself breathe, he’s scared the truth will escape through his mind and release all his fears into Mike’s head.
Mike shakes his head, hands firm on the wine glass. “No, God no. I love her, but not in that way. Not, not since…” Mike hesitates. He turns to look at Will, with evident sadness etched onto his face. “Not since college. The thing is– I can’t seem to shake off the feeling that being with you is betraying her.”
