They hear about Technoblade in the news, on the new fancy radio that their neighbor owns. Phil listens close while hugging the both of them, and Wilbur frowns at the words in the air.
They say that the new avatar has been found. That he’s being kept safe and is being trained in a sacred temple so he can protect the world when he is older.
Wilbur thinks it’s bullshit. He says as such. Phil doesn’t even scold him, he just agrees. Tommy repeats him, and Phil laughs.
It’s the first time he’s laughed since Techno was taken.

Tommy spun around, the pig swinging in his grip as he held it up by its little pig armpits, and now shoved it in Phil’s face. “Phil, I accidentally turned this weird freak into a pig! What do I do?”

Tommy "Theseus" Soot is the seven-time champion of the seasonal tournament hosted in Hypixel's Arena. Each season, he hopes to be paired with his best friend Ranboo, but the two never seem to get lucky enough. This winter, Tommy hopes for an easy eighth win to make his win streak two years long. When he's paired with temperamental Technoblade, who looks like he could kill someone with a glance, things start to seem like they might go south. Quickly.

“Ever heard of the Estes method?” Tubbo asked, dark eyes narrowing. He and Ranboo shared a look, ready for whatever bullshit Tubbo would spew from his mouth. Tommy shook his head, eyes drawn to the headphones.
“With these bad boys paired up with this—” He lifted a different object, a small rectangular box with a dim red screen. “You can better communicate with spirits! The headphones are soundproof, and you have to speak whatever you hear.”
Tommy frowned, not quite understanding the point. “It's just radio sound though.”
Tubbo scoffed at him, setting down the spirit box. “Yes, but it's believed that ghosts will manipulate the radio feeds to communicate.” He urged, bright eyes full of delight.
Tommy was happy about Tubbo's new hobby! And he wasn't going to be the one to break the news that ghosts weren't real, plus he’d rather let Tubbo enjoy it until he inevitably got bored.

A feel good found family story, this follows Ranboo meeting Sleepy Bois Inc and some other recognizable faces, from someone used to being alone to then finding warm companionship served up with his favourite cinnamon vanilla tea.
This will be a multi-part fic telling of how having a support system, even found off random happenstance, can be the best thing that happens to someone.

Now, Tommy wouldn’t say he was one of the most powerful species. Because, if he was, he’d probably already beat up these weird fiery aliens that snatched him up.
He’d been cooped up in a cage that was almost to small for him, making his legs ache from how they had to be curled up. Each 5 hours (or so he counted) they would come in and bring in a liquid that looked similar to water, a pile of goopy stuff that looked like baby food, and left.
It didn’t really matter how much he cursed them to high hell because once they were fed up, they burst into the room with that cursed stick and electrocute the fuck out of him. So, he just accustomed himself to just humming quietly, drinking the not-water and nibbling parts of the… food? Whenever it was given to him.
Or: Tommy gets kidnapped and then saved and hides in a vent.

The Syndicate operates in the darkness. They lie in wait until their enemy is vulnerable, believing they are safe in the dark of night. Fools. The enemies in question: The Phoenix and his Wings. The trio of vigilantes had been thwarting business deals, weapon shipments, and anything they could get their hands on. The Syndicate had been fighting the vigilantes for months, and they certainly left their mark. The Syndicate lost partnerships and supplies because they couldn’t seem to eliminate the roaches. To rub salt in the wound, the Phoenix and his Wings had become beloved to Manburg: the only ones who could put the Syndicate “in their place”. Pathetic.
The Phoenix and their Wings was just a thorn in their side. They were useless. And Wilbur Soot, one of the Three Kings of the Syndicate, was ready to take out the trash.
Wilbur Soot woke up the next morning, exhausted from his mission. The Phoenix and his Wings were taken care of. He smiled.
Time to go see his favorite barista! He walked down to the cafe with a spring in his step, looking forward to laughing with Tommy. When he got to the cafe, bell merrily jingling, he stopped in the entryway.

“What is it?” Phil asks again, and Techno rounds the horse towards the dark bundles on its back. He reaches up, finding rough rope tying the fabric to the saddle, and so he quickly pulls out a knife and slashes through it. He isn’t accounting for the bundle of weight that comes with the action, and before he can catch it, one of the bundles slips, sliding right off the edge of the saddle and off of the horse entirely. It lands in the snow with a heavy thud and Techno steps back, the blankets come loose from the package as it fell, and–
Hair, golden-bright in the candlelight catches his eye.
“Oh lady,” Phil says, sounding mildly horrified as he finally steps out to join Techno in the snow. He kneels by the fallen bundle– dragging away the blankets from the face of a young-looking boy, eyes closed and lips blue. “It’s a child.”
