Summary
In the hospital wing, right after Dumbledore’s death and the battle between the Order and the Death Eaters. Harry is sitting at an unconscious Sirius’s bedside, together with professor Lupin who is strangely worried for his friend. Harry would try to figure out what is going on there but he’s not feeling very good himself.
Or: Sirius lives! Nobody knows him and Remus are together so Tonks confesses her feelings and nobody seems to notice Harry is very concussed.

Sirius scoffed, his agitation still palpable. “It was never a secret.” He snorted derisively. “What? Did we have to snog in front of you all for you to get it?”
“For Merlin’s sake, we shared a bedroom at headquarters.” Remus added, disbelief ringing in his voice. He searched the room, his eyes wide in a mix of frustration and genuine confusion. “No one knew?”
Or: Sirius lives! So he was at The Battle of the Astronomy Tower. Sirius and Remus are together and are very offended that Mrs. Weasley tried to set Tonks up with Remus. Also, Harry was under the cruciatus and is not okay.

Sirius was dead. They had seen him fall. Had heard Bellatrix’s gleeful bragging. And here Remus sat, alone in his grief, because nobody knew how much Sirius had truly meant to him. Nobody but Harry.
Or: Sirius didn’t die in the department of mysteries and makes it to the battle of the astronomy tower in sixth year. Everyone saw him fall in battle and think he’s dead. (Please notice the tag Angst with a Happy Ending!)

“Come on, Pads. Don’t leave me hanging here.” Remus murmured against his lips, the words light and teasing, but there was a slight tremor in them, and it made Sirius’s chest ache to hear it. It was painfully clear Remus was desperate. Desperate to discourage Tonks from her ceaseless advances toward him in any way he could – even if it meant going as far as kissing Sirius to do so.
Sirius knows Remus can never love him back, he’d squandered his chance when he’d accused him of being the spy. That didn’t mean it hurt any less to watch him losing the love of his life to his own bloody cousin.
The kiss is everything Sirius has ever wanted, and he’s determined to enjoy it, even if Remus is only kissing him to get Tonks off his back.
Or: Sirius lives! Remus kisses him after Tonks’s confession, and he’s convinced it’s only to get her off his back.

“Not right now, Tonks.” Remus’s voice was low and tight, the words were barely more than a whisper. His eyes remained locked on Sirius’s pale face.
The way he dismissed her with such coldness, without even sparing her a glance, set Tonks’s blood on fire. She wasn’t going to let him push her aside.
Or: Sirius got hit with a curse and is now lying unconscious in the Hospital Wing. Remus only has eyes for him which upsets Tonks who it trying to confess to him how she feels.
