Summary
When a starving young vampire massacres an entire train cart in broad daylight, twelve‑year‑old Pomni becomes one of the only survivors — drenched in blood, orphaned, and branded "cursed" by a society that fears her more than it helps her. The vampire boy, Jaxula or better known as Jax, flees the scene horrified by what he’s done, carrying a guilt that will haunt him for the rest of his life. As Pomni grows up fueled by trauma and vengeance, and Jax grows up terrified of the monster he’s becoming, their lives remain bound by the same moment — one cursed by loss, the other cursed by guilt.

Summary
Ribbit arrives to the Circus as a 17 year old, same age as Felix (later known as Jax), who arrived there a year before him. The two develop a strong friendship, leading to something more... However, as Ribbit's mental health gets worse, he becomes abusive towards his partner. It makes him abstract, but Felix, still attached to his partner, mourns his loss deeply. He wanted to reach out to Ragatha, but she left him when Ribbit got abusive. Felix changes his identity, going from the shy, gentle one, to the "evil one", desribing himself as the funny one and naming himself Jax. Years later, he meets Pomni, who reminds him of Ribbit, causing him to abstract....

“Why do you keep trying to talk to the others? Keep ignoring me and you might not even have me to ignore anymore! Maybe you’ll be happier if I abstract!”
Jax flinched belatedly, eyes flickering as the scene in front of him wavered. One moment, Ragatha. One moment, Ribbit.
