Or towards Gwen.
Gwen– who Finney hadn’t even cast a single glance at since Albert lowered her decaying body into the once warm water.

It was nearly time – time for his next dose– Finney knew it was. Because his body only got like this when whatever drugs The Grabber had injected with him were starting to seep out of his veins.

Summary
"That's enough for now, Johnny. Save yourself for later for me, I'll be back. You did good" He slides that hand down to the small of his back where his shirt rides up, slipping a hand up it, thumbing the ridges of his back. Finney presses his forehead tight to the concrete, eyes shut, still sobbing silently. He can't fully articulate how long it takes before The Grabber drifts back upstairs, until his hand is gone. It feels like it's still there. But eventually, he uncurls, redresses, and cries a lung out.
No one can hear him.

Summary
4 years has passed since he’s been in the basement, his life has settled into something almost normal: early winter mornings, walks to school with Gwen, empty classrooms where he drifts unnoticed, and lunches spent pretending he prefers being alone. He tells himself the ghosts are gone. He tells himself the dreams don’t matter. But the dreams are changing. What once were flashes cold concrete, a mattress, the old black phone have grown sharper, louder, closer. Sleep no longer gives him rest every night it pulls him back. Back to the basement or that man. Back to the presence he hoped he’d escaped And tonight, when Finney gets the opportunity to sleep after a long, unraveling day, he dreams or so likes to think. Something in the dream knows him. Something remembers him. Something wants to hurt him like never before and it’s much more real than any dream he’s ever had.
Basically a what if the grabber wasn’t bound to the Christian camp and came for Finney first in a “dream” instead of Gwen? this takes place a couple of weeks before Black phone 2.

Summary
Parts of Alpine Lake Camp had been used to help people — unofficially — to help them see the truth. To embrace the parts of themselves that they had been lead astray from with lies and denial.
Mando hadn’t intended to continue that practice.
Definitely not in this manner.
And definitely not with the help of the notorious Grabber who was intent on making Finn Blake succumb to the truth.

Summary
“Love you, too. And, by the way, we are celebrating Christmas. And New Year.” Albert opens his mouth to say something, but Finney kisses him again, and his smile is still wide and excited. “Ah-ha, no arguing. I’ve got you a present already, so you kinda don’t have a choice.”
Albert sighs, but he knows he won’t argue. He’d celebrate any day Finney wants, and even though he has never loved Christmas or New Year, he will certainly make sure that Finney will.
