Narumi is a Jaeger pilot, and a damned good one at that. Japan's best, actually, and he has the records to prove it. He's the PPDC's first (and only, mind you) successful solo pilot, and he's managed to surpass every two and three man pilot team in the country. That's why he doesn't need a partner, let alone want one.
So, pray tell, what the fuck is a purple-bowl-cut asshole doing in his Jaeger?

Summary
Inspired by Keferon's 'Mecha pilot Jazz AU' and all the additional fanart and fics that popped up. These are short snippets of things that happened on Earth pre-canon and during canon events of the au, featuring a cast of different characters. For more info, check the au on tumblr.
Basically a lot of content has appeared on this AU and I am loving every second of it! I couldn't help myself but write this short story here and a few more ideas in the future. I don't usually write Transformers but I want to put my idea into words. Some chapters and characters will be connected but it will mostly be different ideas bundled together without that much overarching plot or a consistent timeline. Almost every chapter could be read as a stand-alone.(I lied, to you and myself. There is some plot now in some chapters. I put way too much connection and references to not be connected. I still plan to write different ideas and alternative scenarios, but yeah, the plot bunnies are spreading.)

Prowl could have also been having a much better day. (43.8%.)Overall, his day was approaching ‘not great.’
You could make a case for said ‘not great’-ness starting when he first accidentally warped into an experimental Quintesson weapons base with violently angry little foot soldiers that seemed to have a love for biting at anything they could reach, but Prowl really considered it starting when the unfamiliar mech limped at unsafe speeds into the desecrated room with him.
