Kian isn't strong, especially not compared to her lovers. She never got to have that, considering the malnutrition from her childhood and little to no desire of being buff, so it isn't a surprise when the blanket is ripped off of her, being placed beside her body. Rand didn't understand. She turns to look at him, trying to discern whatever she can from his expression. He has an eyebrow raised, as if waiting for her to get up, but that sounds too difficult, so Kian just sinks into herself further.
"One of those days?" Rand sounds gentle, calm, something rarely heard unless Kian is like this or she or Rolan is not doing so well mentally. She likes his voice. It's gruff, but it's good. He's so nice. Kian loves him. He wants to kiss him. Maybe later, when he can actually talk. She nods as a reply to his question, trembling as she reaches up while Rand picks her up. He doesn't like being out of the bed, it's too cold and everything feels fuzzy.

Even if it wasn't quite winter yet, the soon arriving colder season could clearly be felt outside already. He'd never been the biggest fan of heat, but with how his senses were after everything, spending several months in the cold of Chicago winters sounded like a horrible time.

The door creaks and snaps him out of his thoughts, the cool air hitting him smack dab in the face. Kian cringed, and stepped out, sitting down on the porch of their home. It was cold. Far, far too cold, he wouldn’t be surprised if it were to snow. It was also pretty likely that Rolan wouldn’t be leaving for work, with the roads looking icy it was sure to be a danger. Rolan was cautious about that shit.
Bringing a cig to his mouth and lighting it, the lover can feel himself get pulled into his own thoughts. He’s got a lot to think about in his eyes. He zones out pretty quickly, eyes trained on one spot. The familiar feeling of a nightmare washes over him, and he feels like he’s drowning all over again.

Moving forward is a thing we all must do eventually, and shockingly that even includes surviving bug zombie armageddon. Rand, Rolan and Kian have found themselves at the end of one massive journey, and right at the doorstep of another one: With nothing but the clothes on their bodies, a bit of money, and a dog remaining of what they had, everything feels near hopeless. Not all is bad though, they've got each other at least! They have to get over little grudges both new and old, but we believe in them don't we?...don't we???...Well- even if we don't, one thing will always be true.
They're going to have to just roll with it.
