In the first half year when Kotetsu’s powers went down to two minutes he didn’t even think to call Bunny or the other heroes.
It was his decision to retire, and Bunny said himself that he doesn’t want to be a hero.
Asking Barnaby to come back to heroing only because Kotetsu wants him to would be stupid. He knows that’s not how it works.

“We and the viewers at home are all wondering; what is your name?”
The man doesn't hesitate this time.
“Barn-uh-Ba-um…Ba…”
He stops speaking and Agnes chuckles.
“Ba? You want us to call you Ba?”
Without answering, the man throws his arm up and shoots a web out of his wrist so fast that Agnes jumps. He leaps up, pulling on the line, and disappears out of frame for just a moment before the camera pans to follow him.
“Well, there you have it, folks. Our new hero…Ba. Hopefully next time we see him he'll have a real name instead of a toddler's babbling.”
The news anchors all laugh as the show cuts to commercials.
“Are you even listening to me, Barnaby?”
Barnaby Brooks Jr. is given a new bodyguard and struggles to balance his personal life, work life, and Spider Hero life under this unfamiliar surveillance.

Таймлайн: где-то в середине второго сезона, и как если бы тигролик случился в конце первого сезона как факт. Можно рассматривать как продолжение моей другой работы, а можно, как отдельный слайс-оф-лайф с переживаниями, но без особых кровопролитий :) Всё довольно мило и мимишно.

“First, I’m too meddlesome and now I’m too late? Gimme a break, Bunny,” Kotetsu groaned, but somehow that got Barnaby to crack a little smile, which made Kotetsu quite pleased with himself.
“I’m sort of glad,” Barnaby sighed, his brows furrowing. “I didn’t want you to see me like that.”
“No?” Kotetsu raised an eyebrow. “I think we’ve seen each other at our worst by now, haven’t we, Bunny?”
“I’m not sure about that…” Barnaby mused, gaze turning to the window as he bit slightly on his lower lip. Kotetsu wondered what he meant by that– they both had seen each other battered and bruised, pushed to the furthest of their limits, nearly at the brink of death. What did Barnaby possibly think his ‘worst’ was, if Kotetsu hadn’t seen it?

“You’ll always be my partner, Bunny,” Kotetsu said, in such an annoyingly sweet and sincere tone that made Barnaby’s heart constrict in his chest. “Now come on, let’s go out to the rooftop, like old times.”
“‘Old times’. Like we didn’t do that yesterday,” Barnaby deadpanned, but he pushed back in his chair and stretched his arms up. It had been harder than Barnaby thought to keep up with the other heroes as his knee started to feel like it was declining more and more each time he used his powers. And it had been especially hard without Kotetsu.
