It's a hot summer day when Astrid Deetz finally returns from camp, ready for a weekend of fun with her mom, Lydia, her new stepdad, Betelgeuse, and his adoring but peculiar family. Their reunion is the catalyst for an action-packed and heart-wrenching journey, where secrets are revealed, old wounds are exposed, and the threat of annihilation lurks around every corner when Lydia and Astrid are kidnapped by the mob.
What does it mean to value familial bonds, over everything else, when most of your relatives are already dead? And how far would this strange and unusual family go to protect their own?
This story is a sequel, picking up right where “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice: Revelations & Resurrections” left off. It combines characters and events from the cartoon, films, and Tumblr blog of Betelgeuse’s mother, Beatrice, called “Mrs. Juice’s Journal,” which is also being added to AO3.

Welcome, dear! My name is Beatrice, the proud mother of the Neitherworld's most infamous twin ghosts, Betelgeuse and Donatello. Our family has been around over 700 years, so we've seen a lot of history. Read about our time in life and the Afterlife in my journal, which I'm finally bringing over from Tumblr.
(This journal also ties into my fanfiction epic, "Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice: Revelations & Resurrections", that I’ve written which bridges the gap between the cartoon and movies, picking up where the second film left off. I'm also posting a sequel, "The Sicilians", chapter by chapter as they're completed.)

It starts with a 600 year old promise, and ends with a 600 year old curse.
For the last 30 years Betelgeuse has had a quiet existence watching over Lydia Deetz and her now 16 year-old son, Hugo, But with dark forces awakening it might just be time for Betelgeuse to return.
This story will alternate between Betelgeuse's past, how he came to be the ghost with the most, and the present day. -
