Summary
“Lightning, listen to me very carefully.” Cal ordered, looking at his friend to make sure he was paying attention, “I need you to look out the door for the first person you can find and tell them to go get my uncle and tell him code blue.” It was the stupid code word that he and Strip had made up when Cal was younger and didn’t like to be so open about when he was feeling a seizure coming. He would just tell his aunt or uncle code blue and they would know. It had stuck in the pits because of the simplicity. “Then I need you to come back in here and sit next to me, okay.” His face was starting to numb. He could feel his hand twitching slightly. He didn’t have much time.
Lightning looked scared, but he nodded. “Okay.”-or-
Cal has epilepsy. He’s not very open about it because it’s a more personal thing to him. He had struggled with accepting it growing up and being different, making him hesitant about sharing this part of him.
However, after a race, he could feel a seizure coming and his uncle is nowhere in sight. He has to trust Lightning to help him.Series

Summary
Lightning nudged Cruz. She looked up at him and he whispered to her. "Besides, you don't have to be worried about being different when you've got this family."
~
A fic about Cruz learning what it's like to be a racer and becoming a part of a family.I aged her down so she's 16 in this. It worked better for the plot, just pretend she would be able to race.
Please feel free to leave comments and feedback! Be nice :)

Summary
Bobby Swift was regretting every decision that had led to him getting into this predicament. Lightning McQueen insisted he was fine. (He wasn’t). Brick Yardley and Junior seemed unphased. Not much seemed to phase those two. And Cal Weathers? He just kept insisting that this was not his idea, and was therefore not his fault. (In Bobby’s opinion, Cal looked more like an ice cube than a race car at this point).
Lightning scoffed. “Who’s brilliant idea was it to go Tundra-tracking again?”

Lightning has never celebrated Father’s Day. Well, not really. Not since the day his dad left him behind. But now, with seven months of memories, self healing, and a steady presence in his life, he starts to wonder if maybe—just *maybe*—there’s someone he could celebrate.
(Or: A delayed Father's Day fic with Lightning realizing Doc has been more of a dad to him than anyone ever has.)

Summary
The season has officially started, and Lightning was restless at the thought of being back on the track. It would be the first season after the World Grand Prix, and there is still a lot to unpack about it.
Thankfully there are people around to help.

Summary
“What time do you think we should wake the kids up?” Strip wondered aloud.
Doc glanced at his watch. “We’ll give them another half hour. It’s not like we need to leave immediately.”
“I’m surprised you haven’t already got Lightning up running laps around the lake,” Sheriff said. He was standing up to eat, due to his sore posterior.
Doc shook his head. “Trust me. The only thing worse than a hyperactive Lightning is an overtired one. Unless you want to deal with him for the rest of the day, we’d better let him sleep.”
...When the menfolk decide to go for a post-racing season, late autumn campout, trouble and hilarity ensues. Naturally, Lightning is the suspected culprit, but Doc has a few pranks up his own sleeve to help give his adopted son a taste of his own medicine.
Note: Contains minor spoilers from my other story, The Art of Revenge.

“Lightning, I’m having a sexuality crisis.”
“Aren’t we all?” Lightning sighed dramatically, picking up the discarded Mario Kart remote. “I’m taking Waluigi this time.”
Bobby burst out into laughter.
“No. Lightning.” Cal stared him down. Lightning met his gaze, starting to look confused. “I am having a sexuality crisis.”
“What.” It took a few seconds to process. Those few seconds had Cal nearly panicking again. “Wait, what?!”---
Cal Weathers figures some things out about himself. Lightning and Bobby are right there for him with Mario Kart, stupid jokes, and endless love.

Summary
When Doc woke up, Lightning was in the same position he fell asleep in which was odd because the kid couldn’t sit still if his life depended on it. He decided to let the kid sleep a little more, hoping he’d wake up once Doc had gotten everything ready.
He hadn’t.
The race wasn’t until four that afternoon, but there were still a handful of pre-race activities they needed to take care of. Pulling the covers off Lightning, the kid still didn’t move. Doc shook Lightning’s shoulder to wake him up, but that hadn’t worked either.
“Kid? Get up, we gotta go.”
Still nothing.
When Doc grabbed his wrist, his fingers grazed where his pulse was. It was slow, even for someone who was sleeping. Going in for a real observation, his pulse was indeed abnormally slow. Now he was concerned. Why was his pulse so low?
“Lightning?” Shaking him a little harder, Lightning was yet to stir at any action Doc took. Doc leaned in and raised his eyelids to find that his pupils were largely dilated. He knew something wasn’t right.
Lightning had been with him all night. What the hell happened?
