It had been one and a half years since the Celestial War in the Coliseum for God’s Throne. One and a half years since she died and Lucifer brought her back by sacrificing himself. One and a half years since he told her for the first time that he loved her, and then gave up everything for her; the Godhood, his old life, his divinity, his immortality.
Set one and a half years after the end of A Chance at a Happy Ending and it goes completely different from Season six's storyline.
Lucifer becomes a mortal keeping only his ability to draw people's desires and tries to settle to domestic and normal life with Chloe and Trixie. However, it's not as easy as he thought it would be while the celestial-and earthly-interference and craziness don't let him and his new family to live in peace.

Summary
In some parts of this series of sometimes connected and sometimes free-standing stories, Chloe’s not with Lucifer. In Chapter One and the other Las Vegas stories in this AU, she’s met him, and worked with him, but they aren’t together.
And while he did kill Pierce to save her, she doesn’t know he’s the devil, just that he disappeared after the killing. She didn’t see his devil face.
A year later, she's at some gawdawful convention in Las Vegas, after a long and crappy day, and she's afraid the airline lost her luggage.

Candy’s always been a bit of a matchmaker. When she sees two of her friends pining for each other and neither has the nerve to do something about it, she can’t help but try and nudge them along. The last two days, she’s watched Lucifer and Chloe together, seeing how they work together. She listened to Lucifer as he fought to win back their partnership and saw how hurt Chloe was by his actions. And she does believe he was only trying to do right by the Detective; she heard it in his voice the night they drank wine and ate ice cream together.
After saying goodbye to Lucifer, Candy decides to take a detour to Chloe's apartment where she tells the Detective there's more to the situation that meets the eye. Confused but quickly reaching conclusions, Chloe in turn goes to confront Lucifer.

Chloe has no idea what to make of the K9 partner assigned to her. He's large. He's black. He's terrifyingly powerful and frighteningly smart, and more than a little unsettling. The fact that his name is Lucifer doesn't help.
In spite of that, they work well together, well enough that Lt. Monroe asks Chloe to come back - with her K9 partner. With the ghost of Palmetto still haunting her, Chloe decides to take another crack at solving the case once and for all. Meanwhile, Lucifer just wants to break the curse and get back to his life as the billionaire playboy devil.
Fate however, has other plans. -

The agency had given her very little information. She’d been told not to ask deep questions, that she was simply the latest to be summoned to try to instruct the child. She gathered that prior governesses had either left suddenly of their own volition or been abruptly dismissed. Though Chloe wondered what compelled them to leave she felt the prohibition on probing questions kept her from asking. The wages offered for the post were more than generous, making her wonder if the child was… disturbed in some way. The Morgensterns were an old family, with power and privilege hedged around them, safeguarding their status. If a child… or an adult… of the family were prey to physical maladies… or madness… the Morgenstern name, money, and power could buy or impose silence. So, while Chloe accepted the position of governess in the household, she had kept something back about herself.
