Summary
The year is 235 after the Galactic Advent. Civilizations across the Milky Way, united under the Galactic Federation, now struggle against the enigmatic and unrelenting Space Pirate threat. To combat this foe, the Galactic Federal Police keep watchful outposts in every corner of federally-controlled space. On the savage world known as SR-388, a biologic research team has just discovered something which should have been left forgotten beneath the surface.
This is a retelling of the Metroid story with a focus on worldbuilding and character development. It is also an experiment, being my first narrative work. Please let me know what you think-- not just about the story, but about the writing style, pacing, characterization, etc. I aspire to write original fiction, so your criticism at this point will be immeasurably helpful and greatly appreciated.Series

Summary
This story seeks to follow up on the plot threads set up at the ending of 2002's Metroid Fusion that 2021's Dread ignored and replaced with a more palatable and watered-down plot.
What this story will do is not only follow up on Fusion, but seamlessly integrate many of Dread's plot elements into a cohesive, proper conclusion to the series.
As a result, this story will be dark, heavy, and yes, DREADFUL. -

Immer wieder hört man von toxischen Leuten, Beziehungen oder Ideen. Dinge die den Beteiligten Schaden zufügen, oftmals mit dem Ziel, sie zu kontrollieren.
Aber „Toxine“ werden von Lebewesen gebildet. Sie schaden mit Absicht.
Nach seinem Tod erwacht Adam Malkovich in einem Computer im Hauptquartier der Föderation. Ihm fehlt die Erinnerung an den letzten Monat. Die fehlenden Puzzelstücke zusammen zu bauen und sein neues „Leben“ auf die Reihe zu bekommen, erweist sich als schwierig. Was auch immer er tut, er landet im Fokus von Leuten, die entweder versuchen ihm aus dem Weg zu gehen, oder ihn kontrollieren wollen – Leute, die entschlossen sind, ihn dazu zu bringen für einen größeren Plan zu kooperieren und zu schweigen.
Auch schlechten Menschen passieren gute Dinge und Adam beginnt zu verstehen, dass er für die Menschen in seinem Leben vermutlich noch schlechter war, als er ursprünglich angenommen hatte.

Eine AU um Other M zu verbessern (verschlimmbessern?). Die Geschichte folgt den Ereignissen in Other M und Fusion. Ereignisse und Beziehungen in Other M werden in einen neuen Zusammenhang gestellt, um die Geschichte mit mehr Machenschaften, größerer Konsistenz und einem besseren Stil anzureichern.Series

WARNING: Major spoilers for Locusts of Abaddon, Part 1! If you want a safe glossary to accompany a first-time reading of Part 1, "Chapter 21" of that fic is a version of this glossary frozen in the timeframe of that fic so as to spoil no parts of its later chapters or ending.
If you read this on its own... have fun... I guess? It's really just a glossary for the terms in the fic.
(PS, I cheated on the chemistry for alien atmosphere and biology, so I'm aware most of it doesn't make sense. It may as well be placeholder chemistry until I care more to make it work, which might be never.)Series

Summary
Immediately following Metroid Prime 3, it's the height of the Space Pirate War, but the Phazon crisis has finally been resolved. However, that victory came at a cost, leaving Samus Aran as the only surviving bounty hunter of that final mission. Now she must deal with the changing tides of war and the emergence of a mysterious stalker bent on destroying the Galactic Federation itself and anyone else needed to achieve that goal.
But Samus has her own issues to deal with as well, ranging from the after effects of her phazon corruption to taking up the slack of the other three hunters she had been forced to put down. And it would seem the Space Pirates are not the only ones who care to see to her demise...
(Takes place in the Human Series AU five years prior to the start of “Human”)
