I wanted a cosy but exciting winter story, so I decided to write about Viktuuri as arctic explorers. I was slightly inspired by His Dark Materials trilogy in terms of scholar/explorers and the magical arctic setting, but this is a wholly separate AU and doesn't have any other HDM elements except for daemons.

“I’m yours, Yusha!”
Viktor was crying out by this point and Yuuri noted how he’d pressed his face into the towel. He smirked; that wouldn’t do. He gave the base of Viktor’s ponytail a firm tug at the same time that he landed the next blow.
Smack!
"Agh! Fu–!” his husband yelled, his voice cutting off, mid-wail.
At the same time, his hips made a desperate circle, prompting Yuuri to hiss when he could feel him through the towel.
“Head up, Vitya, I want to see your pretty face just like you showed in your naughty video,” he ordered, causing Viktor to buck his hips at his commanding tone.

Mere hours before Viktor is due to pick Yuuri up from the airport after a week apart, they discuss Golden Skate’s ‘Best Ass in Men’s Figure Skating’ contest. Irritated by those insisting Yuuri shouldn’t have won, Viktor conducts a SFW defense of his husband via livestream while Yuuri is in the air. When it comes to critiques of his own body, however, Viktor takes a more explicit approach: jumping rope to a NSFW song, positioning his camera for an optimum view of his ass.If said stream happens to flip Yuuri’s possessive switch, then that’s just a bonus for their reunion sex.

“While Viktor is known for some iconic program outfits, his looks have also been polarizing. With that said, pull up a picture of your least favorite of your husband’s costumes, and give us your first impressions of it. Or, you can scarf down a death wing,” Yuri finished, triumphantly.
Yuuri’s jaw dropped in indignation.
“That’s such a mean thing to ask!” he exclaimed, amidst Yuri's cackles. “Don’t worry, Vitya, I’m not answering that!”
But rather than being appreciative of his restraint, Viktor looked rather disturbed.
“Love, you don’t have to eat a wing for something like this!” he cried, flapping his hands a bit. “Don’t worry about my feelings…there’s plenty of eyesores you could choose from!”
Yuri made a noise of agreement that only served to make Yuuri dig his heels in even more.
“Well, I strongly disagree,” he loudly countered, already able to imagine the slew of disgruntled comments this loyalty might generate.

Mainly set within a flash back during the time after the Chihoko Drama but before Yuuri moves to Russia with Viktor. Our two lovebirds take a big leap forward in their relationship with each other.
Yuuri realises this isn’t as scary as he thought it would be and that Viktors type wasn’t quite what he expected. Viktor realises how his words can hurt people and gets a glimpse at the sex demon hiding not that deep down inside Yuuri.

Yurio laughed bitterly, mockingly, as if Yuuri had just said the stupidest thing in the world. “Yeah, and I’m a fucking hockey player!” He yelled something in Russian and then added. “Now leave me alone and go die.”
