I have read many good fanfics on both here and fanfiction.net about elrond's time in Lindon with gil-galad. So I decided to do a series of the second age focusing on the political intrigue of the court, poison/murder scenarios and elrond's growing/evolving relationship with gil-galad, camnir, cirdan, celebore, galadriel, durin 4th, Erestor, glorfindel, elros and celebrimbor. So here's my take of S.A year 2, Lindon is fully rebuilt and beginning to function, the grey havens are under construction and gil-galad is due to be coronated when elrond enters the scene

This is book two of the Merlin’s Daughter and the Titan series. You don't need to have read book one, but it does provide a lot of background information for this slightly AU world. Definitely not compliant with the canon epilogue.

Solas was not idle after he took Evelyn's arm and left her at Halamshiral. He led the elves in a bloody war to reclaim the Dales, chasing the Orlesians from the rightful land of the elves in less than a year. Though he no longer plans to sunder the Veil and destroy the world he does still need to do something to encourage peace with the human nations. This is why he asks Evelyn Trevelyan to marry him, the woman whom he's probably hurt the most throughout all of this.
Political marriages aren't a new thing but a political marriage between an ancient elf who was once worshipped as a god and a human woman whom he crippled and once thought of as less than a shadow is not something anyone saw coming. Both parties will have to learn about each other's culture, traditions, and life. However that all seems easy when compared to the idea of ever finding happiness with each other after everything that has happened.
