Summary

Summary
Espionage was always Espio’s strong suit.
Whenever a case required more information that could only be obtained through infiltration, he was the one sent in. So, when his team’s latest mission was to investigate an anonymous tip from an unknown client, he was sent to check it out.
The claim had been believable enough. One of Eggman’s old factories from the war had been reportedly seen active again, gray clouds drifting up from the smokestack every so often. Their client had asked for them to go investigate. It was a concerning case. The factory had never been cleaned out post-war. No one wanted to enter and relive their trauma so early into peacetime, so the idea of a new criminal having access to Eggtech… It practically spelled out trouble.
OR:
After the success and subsequent failure of the Metal Virus, Eggman decides to attempt to refine his process once again. Armed with his new technology, dubbed the Roboticizer, all he needs is one thing; a test subject, to be sure it works. And who better to test it on than an unfortunate Espio, captured during an investigation of a supposedly abandoned factory from during the war?

Summary
After each Life Game, the participants wake in the real world, exactly where they were the night before the game. The winners keep their memories of it; everyone else’s are erased. The alliances, the battles, the pain, the deaths. All of it, gone from all but a select few. Nothing remains but the scars, the lingering rush of panic, and a persistent feeling of déjà vu.
But whether or not the memories persist, the games always take their toll.
Or: a collection of moments between seasons of the Life Series, as part of a retelling of the series with Sonic characters.
