Chrom is the only Prince of Ylisse, home to the Fae. It is a home that rarely deals with outsiders, wanting to more keep to themselves. As with his ill elder sister, he is expected to find a spouse and take the throne. Yet, His Heart, the one just for him, vanished from his dreams long ago.
While out doing scouting with his guard and younger sister, he finds a person lying in the grass asleep. A person that is very familiar somehow. She is human though! Surely, she is harmless.
Chrom didn't expect the door to open which leads to something much darker that day.

Chrom watched Robin disappear with the first rays of the rising sun. Her form was nothing but a shimmer of light, a mirage in the desert. The body of the Fell Dragon, slain by Robin's own hand, faded as well, reduced to sun-bleached bones scattered in the sand. Their life force was linked together, just as Naga the Divine Dragon had warned them. As one was leaving this world, so was the other. It was so very like Robin to sacrifice her own life in order to ensure a peaceful future for their world. Then there he was - the prince of Ylisse, the leader of the Shepherds, the descendant of the great line of heroes. All Chrom could do was seal Grima for a thousand years; the power to vanquish the Fell Dragon was Robin’s alone. As he watched her disappear, he felt completely useless.
After the final battle, Chrom struggles with the loss of his wife. Still there is a connection between them, that is never truly gone.

Likely super confusing to read due to the fact that names and bodies don't match up well, but it was too fun of an idea I had not to write.
