He takes in a heavy breath and pretends these cheap sunglasses hide his dark circles as they wheel the poor kid in.
"Hey," Gojo rasps. "Miss me?"
Megumi's eyes go wide in horror. His jaw hangs slightly agape. He's breathing too fast. He doesn't say a word.
“Fushiguro?” Yuji's hand hovers over his shoulder. Megumi smacks it away harshly.
He trembles as he gets to his feet, then trips unceremoniously toward the foot of Gojo's hospital bed. Satoru instinctively reaches out to catch him, but he's too slow in his sewn-up state, and Yuta gets there first.
There's tears running down the kid's face. Guilt is a weighty boulder between the two of them.
Megumi claps his shaking hand over his mouth, but he can’t contain an emotional dry heave. Yuta escorts him to the trashcan so he can sob and vomit freely in terror.
Gojo sits there stupidly, unable to do anything else.

However, an encounter with a certain presence a few years prior shakes this belief. it leaves him enchanted, mesmerized, lost, and absolutely unable to forget. when he meets the new recruit Gojo Satoru, he can't help but acknowledge their similarities.
Gojo is an angel, gojo is the strongest angel, Geto is an officer, yes there are curses, gojo is a sketch artist, they solve crime, Geto might not be human, heaven and hell, and they both yearn like crazy, shoko is a forscenic investigator. Also the murder, rape, and sa are not towards any character, but are from the cases that they solve.
This fic is heavily inspired by the c-drama Under the Skin!

He didn’t interact much with anyone anymore, not even Yuuji. The light had left his eyes, leaving them dull and lifeless the night that Nobara had been killed. Megumi had lost his purpose. But she wasn't dead. Nobara was alive. Shoko worked with her daily, trying to regain her strength, manage her pain, and prepare her for her own role in exorcising the King of Curses. “Megumi is vital to the plan as well. He’s useless in the current state he’s in. If we-.. When I tell him that Kugisaki is alive, we’ll be better off.”

“He talks too much,” Megumi said flatly.
“It looked like you replied,” they pushed.
Megumi offered a slow blink. A masterpiece of unimpressed apathy. “I had to. If I don’t answer, he thinks it’s an invitation to keep going.”
“What did he say to you?” another asked.
Megumi’s jaw ticked, the exact line replaying in his mind with embarrassing clarity.

Sukuna, the eldest brother, had just arrived. He stood framed in the entrance, a striking figure whose presence immediately amplified the chaos.
"Yuuji," Kechizu stated, the name hanging in the air.
It was only then, after the name left Kechizu's lips, that the brothers' combined realization hit them. They all snapped their heads to look at Yuuji, who smiled and nodded, completely oblivious to the heart palpitations he was causing his older siblings.
