Reports are coming in- a significant disturbance in the foundation of the city, causing extreme trembling and multiple breaches in traffic ways and bridges around it. The casualties are not yet known, but they will be high, and-" the reporter stopped again, freezing. He stared somewhere off-camera, stunned silent at what he was hearing.
"The city is in the air," he breathed. The microphone clipped to his shirt barely registered the words, but just enough to be transmitted live. "I repeat, the city is in the air," he said again, this time much more audible. He looked directly at the camera again, professional expression forgotten. "The city is flying, with an unknown amount of civilians and Avengers still on it. I repeat, the city is flying-"The one where cracks were formed in the foundation of the Marvel Universe, and Matt Murdock steps up to fill them. This is not the Civil War that you know.

Matt Murdock had always had an uncanny ability to tell where things were—walls, stairs, even people, he expertly (gracefully) navigated the world like some sort of damn gazelle, or a warm-water jellyfish, or something in a similar vein.
Which is why Foggy knew it was absolute bullshit when Matt started coming into the office with significant bruises, and his reasoning was that he tripped.

He's almost read to give up until he hears a voice in the dark, and thinks to himself, 'help is here, lord have mercy on the sinners and saints'.
Frank Castle shows up at the Bulletin, knowing his friend Karen was here and he was protective of those close to him, but he got one good look at the red-suited devil and knew it wasn't Red, not the man his complex emotions danced around. So he did the reasonable thing and started asking questions.
