Summary
Satoru and Suguru have been inseparable since that day. Satoru even convinced his parents to enroll him in the same middle school as Suguru, just so he could always be by his side. Lately, though, Satoru has been acting strange around him. He’s always been weird and out of the ordinary, but this time it was different. He seemed…nervous.
One night, while Satoru is staying over at Suguru’s house, the two of them are lying in bed together when Satoru suddenly turns Suguru to face him.
“Hey, do you ever wonder what it feels like to kiss someone?” Satoru asks, his voice suddenly serious.
“Uh…I guess?” Suguru replies, confusion written all over his face. He has no idea where this is coming from.
“I mean…don’t you wanna try?” Satoru mutters, blushing lightly.
Suguru stares at him, face slowly heating up. After a few seconds, he quietly answers, “Yeah.”
Their lips meet in a brief, hesitant kiss, soft, careful, and over almost as soon as it begins. Neither of them say a word afterward.
The next morning, Satoru was gone.
And Suguru wouldn’t hear for him for the next four years.
