Anything he said to me, of importance or not, made my heart beat faster and my face burn up. It was a surprise he hadn’t noticed yet, with my interest being far too conspicuous in the presence of anyone with half a brain. Eren opens his eyes, on his knees, handcuffed to a post. The last thing he remembers is dying, so naturally, he assumes his punishment in death is to relive the torture of his life. If only whatever demonic entity overseeing his torture had taken accurate notes of what happened and when.
His gaze pulls back to the Wall, and for the first time he sees it clearly. Not seamless Titan crystallising. Not one colossal, unnatural piece.
