He watched Kourai jump—and land wrong.
There wasn’t any sound when it happened. Not really. Just a strange folding motion in Kourai’s leg, and then the camera jerking toward the floor. By the time they caught the frame again, he was sitting down, not moving. Trainers ran in. Fukuro dropped to a crouch beside him, already unstrapping the ankle brace.
Sachirou sat very still.
(In which Hoshiumi ruptures his Achilles tendon and spends the summer in Nagano juggling lamb bottles and rehab bands.)
