As his eyes tried to adjust he was struck with the sudden realisation that he was supposed to be dead. He had died. He could feel the places where the bullets had torn through his skin ache and burn.

Dally chokes.
Slowly sitting up from where he was laying Dally takes in his surroundings. He was sat in the little cemetery behind the old church on the edge of town, the area populated by cracked, neglected ,half sunken headstones. He had just dug himself out of his own grave. It made sense - if anything made sense right then - but the place he'd crawled out of didn't have a headstone, it was just an empty patch of grass that had lain undisturbed until Dally had torn it up.
Or
Dally goes back in time after his death to before everything went wrong. He's feeling emotions and he's not happy about it.
