((This is going to be lighter in mood than the predecessor. I make this claim before having written a single word – but I have a plan, so I might turn out to be right. For once. Usually that sort of prediction dies a quick and painful demise. (It did not, oddly enough. It’s not all sunshine, but I didn’t go off the deep end, either.)
The chapter headings, like in the predecessor, are as close to those of TGCF in style as my brain allows. I have promised myself that I’ll never do this again.
The title came to me late (after I finished writing), I never liked the working title I’d used, and I’m glad that I came up with this. The first part is a shout-out to the Star Trek episode Is There in Truth No Beauty (I swear, TOS has the best titles in all of history), the second seems to echo Isaiah 28.15, but it’s unintentional. I only know this because I tend to reverse-search my titles to avoid quoting people I wouldn’t want to quote. This is neither here nor there for me, so it can stay.))Series
