Each glance, even touch, is imbued with beauty, vulnerability, and impermanence.
And yet, beneath this contentment, a thread of tension lurks, unseen, unsaid, yet nevertheless existing. A thread that may unravel with the tiniest tug, leaving even the most unalloyed joy sullied by the faint, yet unmistakable, pain that may accompany its unraveling.

The story never ended once the servers were safely tucked underground; if anything, the situation only got far worse. In the events of Season 2 of Hazbin Hotel, the final battle resulted in the shattering of the world as you knew it. Vox had fallen, beheaded and weak, with Valentino, your abuser, rising to power. Lucifer and Carmilla took you in, coaxing the trauma from your aching soul, only finding you spiralling deeper into the soldier mentality. Joining the Hazbin Hotel seemed the only option for any chance of healing the impossibly deep wounds.
This is where you met a particular demon in a long red coat. His discovery of your life within Voxtek sold him on the idea of rendering you into a new Overlord, taking over the many underground shelters that lay abandoned since the death of their previous protector.
Only now, it means you have to face the ghosts of your past, and find out where they belong in your future.Slow burn, eventual smut, heavy sub/bottom Vox, lots of whump, angst and fluff and bullshit, Alastor taking a strong lead in the reader's destruction. Cute/fluffy resolved ending after all the yandere shit you had to go through to get here.

A/N: This series was originally intended to be a reader insert, but I got carried away, and it became more of an OC. Because I only ever read reader-inserts, I felt it only made sense to make a reader-insert version as well. It is the same story, with slightly less detail and character background, and certain scenes removed. Not all that many, though. If you don't care about immersion, the original version is the best experience. Aside from the initially harsh personality (lots of character development, don't worry, you'll be better with time), and later being referred to by your "Vee Name" from the general public (not characters regularly interacted with). This is very reader-insert-friendly.
