Summary
In his fight against hell the closest companions the Doom Slayer has had are his pets. A light in the dark for a silent, hulking man barely understood by even his allies. His dear pet bunny Daisy and his loyal dragon Serrat.
When loneliness takes over the Hellwalker. Vega convinces him to keep a gargoyle as a pet, but demons are like potato chips… you can’t just have one. After promising not to bring another demon into his home, the marauder saves his life and he repays the demon by letting him crash in the Fortress of Doom, but perhaps they are more than just roommates…
Now the Slayer has to juggle his endless crusade and his new family while fighting the Icon of Sin and the Ancient Gods that hold his leash.
(This is fairly canon compliant with the lore/story of Doom and it goes through Doom Eternal’s story and both of the Ancient Gods DLCs. There will definitely be references to Doom: The Dark Ages, but since that takes place like nine million years before Eternal it won’t be the primary focus. I hit most of the main beats of the story, but I do deviate a bit with some of the plot lines for Vega and Samuel Hayden.)

Summary
Jayce and Viktor had been scientists on the UAC Mars base, studying the strange energy that ended the Earth's energy crisis.
At least, until they had to return to Earth, Viktor falling ill and needing treatment in a strange twist of events that they would soon learn afforded them the escape of the violent end their former work place suffered.
A year later, as they wait to be reassigned, Viktor wakes with agony in his leg from experimental augmentation... and an explosion outside his apartment and a frazzled husband trying to rush them to dwindling safety.
Jayce and Viktor find themselves thrown into the Hellish invasion on Earth, once more under the command of Samuel Hayden as they research ways to bolster Earth's defenses.
They just need enough to defend humanity.
At least defend it until the Scourge of Hell can land the final blow.
They may have to take out some demons of their own along the way.
A 5+1 story: 5 times where Viktor and Jayce have to survive an attack from a demon, and once where it is no longer a fear.

“In other news, a new man came into town today.” Kevin couldn’t help his grin, but only Vanessa could see it, so that was alright. “Who is he? What does he want from us? Why his perfect and beautiful smile? Why his perfect and beautiful teeth? Teeth like a Steinway…”
Kevin glanced at his phone as it lit up with a new message. Carlos had sent him an emoji of a person in a labcoat and goggles giving a thumbs down. Rachel, one of the scientists sharing the camper with him, also sent a text, but hers was an image of Carlos’ head in his hands. His ears were noticeably red. Carlos was just too cute.
Vanessa knocked on the window of the control booth, and Kevin mouthed an apology at her for getting off track.
“He says he is a scientist. Well, we have all been scientists at one point or another in our lives. But why now? Why here? And just what does he plan to do with all those beakers and humming electrical instruments in that camper?”

"Then, all at once, it stopped. The humming, the shaking, the binds, all gone in an instant. He was almost disoriented with how quickly the scene changed. The light was softer than it had been before, and oddly enough, a lighter shade of red. Like dusk on Argent D’nur, like on Earth. It was this thought that he held onto as he scanned himself for injury, but nothing beyond a few lucky shots from his foes was there. The smell of burnt metal lingered, and he traced the dents left in his suit as he lifted himself up from his crouch. At least with these, he knew it had been real.
His comm unit pinged at him, the screen reading out Vega’s signature. He thought on it for a moment before accepting the incoming call. He had done his job here, even if it hadn’t been the one he was sent for. The ambush had been unplanned but unsurprising and the supposed relic that had been hidden here didn’t seem to exist. It seems Samur had lied, again. He wasn't sure if he'd be calm enough by the time he got back to the fortress to not rip his sickly Maykr ass out of its floating perch and drop kick it off into the void."
