[Covid-19 Pandemic AU] in wich Kara is in her last year of residency in dermatology at National City General Hospital, when coronavirus pandemic breaks out and she ends up working as an intensivist doctor on exhausting journeys.
Lena is the adopted daughter of the majority shareholder of LuthorCorp healthcare and pharmaceuticals, where she is the youngest engineer in the R&D area. She ends up discovering her family's alliance with the fascist ultra-right government and sees the company taking a denialist direction, producing ineffective drugs and financing clandestine human experiments.
They get to know each other during this chaos.
