“Me? I don’t know. Same as you, I guess. But it would be nice to have another shifter around to chill out in our other form together and stuff. Don’t you think Harry coming through with that plan while dealing with his issue was something else, though? I mean, maybe that’s a sign that this is the right move, that’s hoping it does become a pattern and it wasn’t a one-time thing.” Douglass rambled through his thoughts.

Everyone had surrounded Gale, rightfully so, he is their pack alpha. Wherever Gale goes, everyone else follows him, and it’s always been that way. John was included in that for a long time.
Gale has an air about him, one that tells the men and everyone around him to follow his lead. It tells everyone that he’s in charge and he’ll get them to safety, or he’ll die trying. John used to help him with that, but lately he's been in the way more than he’s been helping.

Until Gale was growling at even Benny and Johnny was baring teeth at the blonde alpha. Even with Jo latched to his chest under his jacket, Johnny was still terrifying.
They had ended up in the corner of a muddy tent, John presenting with his ass in the air. His slacks had been pulled down to show the least amount of skin and Gale’s had been undone enough to get his length out. Their men had created a wall between the two of them and everyone else.
