Gulp.
The comforting hand on his thigh is now gone, and Neil finds himself standing on autopilot. “Yes,” he nearly stutters, socked feet almost tripping over the carpet as he takes an uneasy step forward. He hasn’t felt this nervous in a long time. Either that, or it’s the mandatory eight hour fasting making him so shaky.
The dental assistant gives him a small smile before turning around, her ponytail whipping behind her. “Follow me.”
The time has come for Neil to get his wisdom teeth removed. The aftermath? Less than stellar.

He arches his neck suddenly, looking past Kevin. Kevin realises the game has reached the second half. He’s on the court now. Neil moans. Kevin can’t tell if it’s because of him or something on the screen.

Summary
