Loki was gone—at least, the part of him that Sylvie knew.
Upon travelling to New Asgard to find his brother, Sylvie buries a lock of his hair as a way to say goodbye. But soon after, she finds a small tree has grown in its place. With the help of her new friends, she investigates the mystery of the tree—and its connection to Loki.
The feel of cool damp grass on her hand. The smell of ozone on the breeze. The dew seeping into her pant legs. Everything felt in focus and so very real, not at all like a dream.
And Loki was still there.
He’d spoken, he’d looked at her, and then he’d laid his head back down and closed his eyes. Completely still, except the rise and fall of his steady breathing.
Alive.
It would be easy for her to remain transfixed on this subtle motion, the endless pattern of inhale/exhale. She shook off the temptation and looked him over; he was covered in a thick shiny substance. Transparent for the most part. Tentatively, she tried to wake him.

Loki's trapped on Sakaar but at least he's dating the ruler of this planet…well not dating more like he's just the favourite for the next little while until something happens
one night and something changes in the Grandmaster he starts to feel guilty for everything he's done to Loki and slowly tries to fix his mistakes but Loki doesn't believe any of it and is just playing along for now
The Grandmaster realizes he actually likes Loki and wants Loki to like him, too. But news flash: Loki literally despises him and would love to kill him for now.There is no smut/sexual content in this fic only nods to it

Loki slits his neck and dies.
But sometimes…sometimes that’s not how the story goes.It only felt like seconds, but he awakens with an odd sensation that it has been much longer. To the reader: the only thing this can be compared to is victims of the Snap being brought back to life. An odd disorientation, where you don’t quite fit in the pocket of air you’ve been inserted in.
But that couldn’t have worked here, because Loki has ensured that the Snap will never happen.
As long as he’s dead, the universe is safe; Thor is safe.So…Thanos un-deads him.

Summary
After the events of the First avengers movie Loki falls back to earth only to be found by very people who put him there. Under the impression that they all knew he was controlled by Thanos and decided eternal imprisonment should be his punishment anyway, he is reluctant to give up any more of his dignity. The Avengers on the other hand are both confused and now stuck trying to figure out what happened to the God of Mischief and what keeps making him so afraid.
Bonus of Loki having to deal with the torture and lack of control while decided where his place in the world is.

After a talk with his friend, Thor decides to rid himself of his guilt by bringing Loki back to life, though it doesn't quite go the way he planned. On top of caring for his now very young brother, Thor also burdens himself with bringing the avengers back together, which is no easy task.
When Hel's hunters start hunting for Loki, Thor truly starts to feel the weight of his unworthiness, but never once regrets trading it away for Loki.
He also feels the tension when the avengers decide they too want to hunt Loki, completely unaware of his new status as a childI'm not tagging this as major character death because the major character actually just comes back to life.

The usual somewhat reassuring cold of Loki's body was now a horrifying reminder. Loki was dead. Loki was gone, now, forever. Fandral would never hear him speak again.
His bottom lip trembled. He'd never carry Loki like this again. Not over the altar when they got their first home, nor out of the great hall after their wedding. They'd never wed. Loki couldn't retain the breath to say 'I do'.
