He knew the other fledglings were jealous of him, envious of what he had— personal training from their Talon. Nyx was hand-picked by Viago de Riva from his litter even though he was considered the runt. Many claimed their personal history was the only reason. So why wouldn't one try to take out the competition away from prying eyes?

Summary
—as written (reluctantly) by Varric Tethras
I thought I’d found the one. The person who could finally help us beat Solas.
Wrong.
Isabela said, "If you're taking one of my best Lords of Fortune, you're taking the sister too."
Yeah. I thought, how bad could that be?Wrong again.
These two are walking catastrophe magnets. And something tells me we haven’t even seen half of what they’re capable of.
Thedas will probably be upside down before they’re through—with results both brilliant and disastrous.sigh
I’m too old for this shit. -

Summary
For a while, Hawke assumed he was only interested in men, but he's come to realize that it's a bit more complicated than that. He's never wanted anyone the way he wants Anders, and the only time he ever came close was with his best friend when he was a teenager. The emotional aspect that sex has for him can be too much at times, but he fears that Anders will not understand, so he devises a plan to show his partner just how loved and wanted he really is.

Summary
In a freak twist of fate, after killing Ghilan’nain and unleashing a lethal amount of magic, Rook does not find herself in the Prison of Regrets. Instead, the magic creates a pseudo-rift and spits her out the other side.
Stuck in the past, she has several options but only one real conclusion: the Inquisition had done fine the first time. They certainly didn’t need her assistance. The fate of the Veil still hung in the balance, and she had vowed to keep it there by any means necessary. Solas had been helpful up to this point, but she’d known he was plotting—scheming to escape his prison.
He had used blood magic on her. He’d hurt Varric. He’d cheerfully kill her given half a chance. This younger version hasn’t done anything yet… and doesn’t know to be wary of her. Rook wasn’t above using him, and then killing him with his back turned.
What was the Dalish saying? May the Dread Wolf take you? Not if Rook took him first.

“Do not make me regret trusting you again,” Fenris warned–or perhaps, pleaded was the more correct term. “If you go back on your word, even once, I will kill you.”

Summary
Hawke had long since learned that her gut was seldom wrong, and to listen to what the world was trying to tell her.
So that morning, when the glass figurine shaped like a hawk in flight that Varric had given her somehow slipped from her vanity, shattering into a million little pieces on the hardwood, she paid attention.

Can be read solo.
Solas knew very little about the woman who bore his mark except that she was a beautiful and compelling mystery.
The green glow lit the small cell. The magic on her hand never fully subsided, but when it spit green fire the woman grew restless. He felt a connection to her that the presence of the mark did not explain. Solas almost did not want her to wake up.
The moment he interacted with her, she was bound to disappoint, failing to live up to any of his imaginings. As if to mock this sentiment, the elf stirred. She opened her eyes to reveal bright green eyes. Solas caught his breath, transfixed.
She said accusingly, “Is this another trick? You think I can't escape from your prison, Solas?”
The breath froze in his chest and everything stopped.
She knew him.Solas had no memory of her.
--
Both Rook and Solas travel back in time to the begining of the Inquisition. From the beginning, Solas senses a bond linking him to Rook. This changes everything. Not a strict retelling.
Heavy emphasis on Rook and Solas's relationship. Anyone else notice the tension between Cassandra and Varric?
Expect plenty of party banter as well.

Summary
Blair Trevelyan had always believed Dorian Pavus was capable of the impossible: standing as a fierce ally in the Inquisition's battles, returning to Tevinter to challenge and reform its corrupt heart, being a steadfast friend and an enchanting lover—even in the wake of their other partner, Solas, vanishing into the shadows. So when Dorian's letters abruptly ceased, it shattered Blair's world. This silence was uncharacteristic; they had endured long distances before, their bond enduring through ink and absence. But with the Blight surging unchecked in the south, Blair couldn't abandon his duties to search for him. Desperate, he turned to a glimmer of hope: Varric had begun assembling a new team and spoke glowingly of Rook, a promising figure in the fight ahead. With no other options, Blair penned a urgent letter to Rook, pleading for aid in finding the man who had once been his anchor.

Summary
Lucanis breezed past her. For half a second, she thought he was going to sit next to her, but instead he began descending the stairs.
Just stay, she thought, unprompted, and it prickled her flesh with goosebumps.
He stopped a few stairs lower than she sat, as if she had said that traitorous thought aloud, but she knew she hadn’t with how tightly her lips were pressed together again.
Looking up, surprised, she watched him turn and lean a hip against the railing against the circular wall, leaving them at roughly eye level. He folded his arms tightly around his chest as he so often did.
She was oddly glad he’d given her that space. And even more relieved he hadn’t left.In the aftermath of the decision to save Treviso over her home, Rook has difficulty facing the team, especially Lucanis. When he stumbles across her having a physical reaction to the day, they talk, and his unexpected kindness makes her cross a line.

Summary
She closes her eyes against the maelstrom. Tension leaps though still limbs; a shudder she does not feel shakes her.
"Spite," she says, strained, caught between too many tides.
"I smelled your nightmare," it says aloud, nasal and sharp, shaping the words with care. Here in the Fade it does not sound so very much like Lucanis, more removed from his voice than when it speaks with his throat in the waking world, but his accent still rounds its vowels. (what does it mean for a demon to speak here—) "You were frightened."
Rook stands before a flame speaking with a familiar voice. She’s a moth at heart, she knows. She will be ash.

Summary
"Not even the most brilliant spies in the Ben Hassrath would be able to link that dazzling woman to the mangled wretch that looked up at him now. Anyone else would’ve chalked her up to a walking corpse and killed her without question. Varric himself should’ve assumed she was another one of the apparitions, or something far worse.
Yet he knew that if there’d been drinks, and songs, and people around now, they would’ve all disappeared the same way they had that day in Skyhold.
'Hawke.'"
Just when Varric thought it couldn't get any worse, he finds himself not at the Maker's side, but rather trapped in a nightmare, where he is forced to relive his many regrets over and over for all eternity. But he soon realized he's not alone in this place. There's someone else here, someone who is at the center of his worst regrets, someone he would do anything to spend the rest of his days with... and against all reason, she's still alive. Varric may be trapped here forever, but at least he might be able to help the woman loves get her happy ending. And maybe, just maybe, he'll finally get to tell her what he was never strong enough to say the first time around.
Or, Hawke and Varric trapped in the regret prison!

Summary
CONTAINS SPOILERS! INCLUDING ENDGAME.
When Rook's mentor takes a terrible wound, she is forced to take over the mission to destroy the gods Solas has let escape. She's a Crow with a contract for the god of deceit, but she's going to have to clean up this mess first. She collects comrades to aid the battle and finds that she grows to care for them. Looks like time with Varric has left its mark on her unbreachable Crow defenses.
And speaking of the Order, the ultimate mage-killer, the Demon of Vyrantium, grandson of the First Talon and for all intents and purposes the Prince of Antiva, is driving her mad. She shouldn't want him. It's a disastrous idea to get involved and they both know it. But something is building between them, and it won't be denied.
A love story, but in the end one of exquisite revenge.
****Chapters will be labeled with warnings in the notes section.****
Mostly canon compliant, just with extra things added in. So far anyway. Frequently not posted in chronological order.Side note: my perception of Antiva is more Renaissance Italy. So random italian it is language wise. I do not speak italian, it is Google translate. I apologize in advance for any mistakes
