Having made quick friends with the sarcastic bartender/owner of the restaurant across the back alley from her apartment, it seemed as though her world had changed for the better.
Once she starts the first semester of her PhD, she realizes just how true that is when she meets some of the other monsters around campus. Life may not be easy, but with the help of the people she went through undergrad with and her new friends from underground, she feels for the first time that she just might make it through.

A week and two months didn’t seem like much time in the grand scheme of things. It was a drop in the bucket for a year, barely a blip in most people’s calendars. Spamton didn’t hate this life - far, far from it.
Even with the bits of porcelain still clinging to his unfinished form and the mask glued to her face, she was happy. Maybe a little bored, but happy. They’d stuck close to Waterfall since then, only going out for the occasional errand, a pop over to Hotlands to have his health checked, or a trip to Snowdin to try and build a snow monster or two with their daughter. Only to enjoy that peaceful, quiet life.
