Summary
No one liked the 14th Century because of obvious reasons, and some liked it for the very same obvious reasons. But, Crowley and Aziraphale disliked it because of at least two more reasons. The effects linger, even after a few hours after the Apocalypse that wasn't. OR How the 14th Century sucks and how BH rears his ugly head since time immemorial.
___________
I've included an intro chapter for those who are unfamiliar with either series~ Discovering new things is part of the fun, right?(First listed chapter is the intro)

Summary
When one of Flug’s newest inventions gets discovered, angry clients trap him deep in the catacombs of a dig site. Flug is prepared to die, but what he doesn’t expect is for there to be someone deep beneath the ground with him. A being named Black Hat who thinks that he is an ancient deity, and believes that Flug is there to commune with him.
Centuries of being alone put Black Hat out of touch with the modern world. Flug is aware that people will be out to get him when he eventually reaches the surface. Having his life threatened is bad enough, but Flug also begins to feel something toward the powerful yet confused ancient being he brings home with him.
The only problem Flug has apart from people gunning for him on his return is getting Black Hat to understand that what he does in the modern world has consequences. And that not everyone believes Black Hat to be a god.

Summary
Flug is tasked by a nameless group to examine and conduct illegal experimentation on a corpse that was brought to him. That wouldn’t have been so bad had Flug not begun to have nightmares about the dead man that was in the abandoned hospital with him.
But with each nightmare came caresses and slyly whispered words, overwhelming Flug’s senses and his body until Flug believed that he had finally gone insane when nothing seemed amiss. When Flug’s illegal practice is discovered, he is thrown into a psych ward for observation.
Only then does Flug find out exactly who he had been dealing with. But by this time, it was too late for him to run, as Black Hat now had him trapped between nightmare and reality.

Summary
Black Hat wiles away his time in a prison until he finally grows bored of it after many long years. On the day that Black Hat decides to leave and be on his way, a hero foils his escape attempt. A hero who happens to be the same species as Black Hat. Suddenly, escape wasn’t nearly as interesting to Black Hat compared to seeing just how far he could push White Hat.
Black Hat soon resumes his attempts to escape the prison, each time becoming more and more outlandish, just to see how long it takes to break the goody-two-shoes hero. It had been such a long time since Black Hat had bothered to put in any effort while pursing someone. But a morally uncorrupt White Hat who was terrible at hiding his interest and feelings? The hero was much more fun for Black Hat to try to sink his claws into than he initially thought, as White Hat’s reactions to his advances were quite entertaining.

Summary
When one avoided a dilapidated and very unnerving animatronic rabbit, it wasn’t because one realized there was a dead guy in it who wanted to have a chat. The avoidance certainly had nothing to do with the voices of children that couldn’t be seen. Perhaps keeping a safe distance came from the fact that the animatronic rabbit offered an all too sentient stare.
Be a night guard for a horror attraction, they said. It'd be easy, they said. Nothing can hurt you because it isn't real.
Tell that to the broken and missing memories just out of reach, the whispering of unseen children, and the raspy voice of an animatronic rabbit as it drew ever closer to the office.

Sammy had an odd feeling that he done this all before. But how could that be? The music director had sung the same songs and sacrificed others to the ink demon numerous times, yes, but how could he endlessly have repeated the same actions over and over without ever taking notice?
But what Sammy couldn’t deny was that there had been a faint shift in the studio, causing the atmosphere around him to feel more oppressive. This change...it made Sammy begin to question his devotion.
Was the Ink Demon really his savior, or was Sammy’s fractured mind finally returning to him piece by piece, after being lost for so long? Or was it all a lie, and he was merely descending further into the madness around him?

You are not sure what to make of the sudden turn your life had taken. This was not how you planned to spend your days in between jobs, but you sure can’t say that your life is boring anymore.
Aka how in the world did you suddenly end up in the monster equivalent of marriage to three skeleton monsters within the span of a few confusing minutes? At least two of the skeletons took this unexpected situation well. The third skeleton did not, apparently taken with the idea of metaphorically burning you to a crisp with his eye lights, as if this situation was somehow entirely your fault.
In your defense, you didn’t mean to intentionally tie yourself to anyone, since you had no idea what was going on. And no one bothered to fully explain to you how bonds worked until even more skeleton monsters began to show up.
(FYI, slapping a hiatus on this fic for now due to the cat and dog tearing through my paper outline. Being a little discouraged trying to piece things back together again). -

Stretch shouldn’t have let Papyrus drag him along to some large abandoned hospital. Things like that never ended well in movies or real life urban exploration, so why would it be any better in person? Stretch can’t shake the feeling of how wrong the atmosphere of the hospital is the longer they’re inside it. Not to mention there’s the distinct sensation that comes from being watched, and there are many dark places to lurk among the near endless decrepit halls and rooms of the building.
If only things were better when they finally got out and back to their daily lives, but that was apparently too much to ask for by tossing in the presence of a high LV monster with an attitude problem.

Dr. Nefarious is not amused by his unwanted squatter's presence, yet the dratted Lombax won't leave, even with numerous threats of annihilation.
"Lawrence, annihilate him!"
"I do believe the Lombax is asleep, sir."
"Then wake him up!"
"Dead asleep, sir. Such a pity you can't just use the vaporizer while he's incapacitated."
"Lawwwwre-'Oh Lance, never leave me my love! Oh Janice, nothing could ever part us, not even the sewer of all-"
"oh dear, you really should have that checked..." *thwack*
"-eeenccceee!",
Despite Nefarious' best efforts, evicting the Lombax from one of his many lairs is (eventually) written off as a lost cause after about a decade. -

There was a large creature curled around him, their skin nearly blending in with the darkened cavern around them both, bioluminescence lighting up along their head, facial fins, arms, torso, and…wait, were those tentacles?
No, Papyrus wasn’t high, thank you very much. He didn’t smoke weed, and the cigarettes he did smoke were currently soaked and useless in his hoodie pocket.
He was very much awake, and so was the creature that held him in their grasp, glowing golden eyes curious and watchful.
