Summary
This explains how Nagini became a temporary Animagus for the Death Eaters, as well as Voldemort, and as a spy for the Order of the Phoenix for Dumbledore. The process of the Animagus charm is explained as well as the way that Nagini ends up in her true form. She becomes the Celtic Gaunt witch, which her cover was blown, mostly from the Time Calamity itself. She was originally from the Jungles of Indonesia, as a warrior princess, but when the charm was performed, she became nothing more than a cover. But she fully became a powerful wizard, and a keen one, and awoken her powers when the charm was performed.

Prompt for 31 Days of Flash Fiction 2025 Story 2: Slideshow #26 - MASTER OF CEREMONIES
In this prompt we see that Severus tries to take advantage of Hermione's Secret Keeper magic and goes back to the year, 1927. This results in Nagini and Credence trying to run away from the Circus Arcana where Nagini worked as a freakshow act. Hermione and Severus follow her to try to nab Nagini to bring her to their timeline. They encounter Grindelwald at the Lestrange Mausoleum, where his rally for the anti-Auror and initiate induction was taking place. Credence was going to follow Grindelwald into his initiate to study under him. Nagini was understandably angry and sad for this. The three, (Nags, Snape and Hermione) end up at the Forbidden Forest tree line, and Snape casts an Oblivious curse on Hermione. Then Nags has an altercation with Snape. He is then coerced to bring an unconscious Hermione up to the schoolgrounds for aid with her injury. Then Nags met Wormtail, and Snape rendezvous with them both and the three of them talked and then Nags has a meltdown, and they end up with her almost burning to death because her Maledictus form was attacking her blood from the inside out. This required Animagus magic sooner or later.

Prompt for 31 Days of Flash Fiction 2025 Story 2: Slideshow #26 - MASTER OF CEREMONIES
In this prompt we see that Severus tries to take advantage of Hermione's Secret Keeper magic and goes back to the year, 1927. This results in carnage and Nagini and Credence ending up getting lost in time. This also has Hermione and Severus make their way back to their respective timelines, absolutely fine, by no fault but Snape's own. Nagini and Credence get separated. Nagini crashlands in the Forbidden Forest, by Snape's doing, and Hermione get's bounced back to her original timeline which is around the time of Prisoner of Azkaban. Nagini gets trapped by Voldemort and Snape and Voldemort makes her into a Horcrux, and also a permanent Animagus form.

This is a fan fiction that I thought of where Nags is with Snape when Lupin was out sick from his "time in his were wolf form". Severus had Nags stay there with him, and she was on her snake perch. Hermione was suspicious of Severus so she decided to stop by his office to ask him why he had a pet snake on his desk and inquire about it, that she felt it was peculiar that it only appeared there when Lupin went away when he got sick.

Summary
It’s the first day after Winter break with snow quietly falling outside the large, gothic windows, though you can hardly get anyone to go out into the cold, especially this early in the morning. For the past week, Harry had been trying to scrape together all his supposed bravery that let him get into Gryffindor, and the current peaceful atmosphere of the mid-breakfast Great Hall really isn’t helping his nerves right now.
“Hey, Hermione?” he casually asks over the buttered toast on his plate he hadn’t touched since Ron put it there. His hands are cold and wet and shaking and he hates it. “Do you think I have any living relatives outside the Dursleys?”
***Or: what if the Golden Trio decided that fuck it, they are getting Harry out of the Dursleys? Which of course means that they need a way to do that, which results in an impromptu break-in into the Restricted Section, some questionable decisions, and… Accidental Parent Acquisition.
Because I’m a sucker for Parent Tom Riddle, apparently.

I DO NOT ACCEPT FANTASTIC BEASTS AS CANON so I am writning this character without consideration of that storyline. But if you read my slow burn you know I think the maledictus thing is sexy, so that's where this concept came from. AND the author has said that from the start she wrote Nagini with the knowledge of her being a cursed woman. (The name comes from 'Naga' - half human half, serpent beings from South Asain mythology.)
