Summary

Riko is the youngest child of the Hoshidan royal family, a long royal family of riders who are at war with the neighboring kingdom of Nohr, also home to riders, her kingdom is still without an heir due to the nature of their inheritance, where the next ruler is to try and hatch either the king of the skies or the queen of the land, both monsters being said to be long extinct so if neither are hatched the inheritance goes to the first born when the youngest hits 20, but when Riko finds an abandoned egg of a Rathalos and hatches it, hailing her the next queen of Hoshido, a mysterious threat attacks her home and Nohr, now Riko was tasked to end the war and stop the threat trying to destroy her world
