He gets halfway through undressing Huaisang before he rouses with a little noise, eyes blinking open and hands reaching for Mingjue’s own clothes, clumsily attempting to unbutton his shirt, still halfway asleep.
Mingjue huffs out an amused breath and brushes Huaisang’s hands away, “Didi, go to sleep, you’re clearly tired.”
Huaisang, predictably, just pouts up at him, and it’s even cuter than usual with how sleepy he looks, “But you promised me birthday sex things.”
“I can keep my promise in the morning.” He proposes reasonably, but Huaisang shakes his head.
“Now.” He insists, “Tomorrow isn’t my birthday anymore. You can…” He interrupts himself to yawn, “You can do all the work, I’ll just doze.”
Mingjue pauses in getting Huaisang’s pants unbuttoned, “You want me to have sex with you while you’re asleep?”
Nie Huaisang and Nie Mingjue celebrate Huaisang's birthday together at home with movies, ice cream, and some slightly unconventional sex.

“Da-ge?” Nie Huaisang murmurs as he sits up, untangling Nie Mingjue’s arms from around him. His brother doesn’t stir, “Da-ge.” He says again, a little louder, and pokes him in the side.
No reaction.
The sleeping draught the sect doctor had provided them with must be working well, then.
It takes some effort to roll his brother onto his front for easier access as he pulls the covers back, but he manages it, pushing his thighs apart on the bed so he can sit between them. It feels a little bit wrong, to be doing this without Mingjue awake, but it’s a little bit exciting, too. Besides, he has permission.
Nie Mingjue is too busy for daily dual cultivation sessions, but he needs them for his health. Fortunately, Nie Huaisang is happy to help while his brother gets some much needed rest.
