Summary
Hinata passed away at the age of 32 after having retired from professional volleyball 2 years prior. He retired due to the strain on his joints from the constant activity. After retiring from Asas São Paulo Hinata moved back to Miyagi and started coaching/hosting a small gym where anyone could practice. He wanted to give young kids who weren’t able to attend those fancy schools, like himself, a fair shot at playing volleyball. The gym name was: Guards of Dawn. Hinata mainly focused on stamina and defense; digging, blocking, and receiving. He always told his students that they have the best chance at being on a team if they can always keep the ball in the air, and if they have enough stamina to last the whole game (or more) they’re less likely to be benched. Hinata always enjoyed his time coaching and just being a teacher. However, he passed away suddenly in an accident when he was 32. He was happy with his professional career, but he found himself regretting, just a little bit, that he couldn’t coach for longer.
Then, Hinata Shouyou woke up as Hinata Akio. The older brother of this world’s Shouyou.

Taking the blond by surprise, Hinata shot fire at him, forcing him to throw up a blockade of ice, a wall separating the two of them. Hinsa persisted, the ice sizzling as his fire burned impossibly hotter, white flames licking up the side of his face.
The crowd roared as Hinata finally broke through, prepared for the fist coming his way. Catching the hand, Hinata pulled the blonde up and over, slamming him down.
Ice cracked and water splashed when the blond hit the mats roughly, blue robe staying dry despite the puddle underneath him. Hinata forced more power into his palms as he pushed on the blonde’s shoulders, forcing him down.
Locking eyes with his opponent, Hinata wondered what he looked like. All he could see was the reflection of flames. The tension skyrocketed, as did the temperature, and they both ceased to move. Hinata couldn’t break eye contact.
It seemed like time slowed. The moment seemed to stretch for minutes, hours, but Hinata knew it was only a few seconds.
