These rifts appear to be harmless natural phenomena at first, only lasting a few hours at most before closing again. But when people start disappearing and rumors start circling of a new Galran warlord, Keith isn’t so sure. His suspicions are confirmed by the arrival of two teenagers from another Reality in pursuit of their kidnapped friend. When the Black Lion suddenly reappears, and he and Lance are thrust into the middle of a mysterious new threat and a challenge neither thought they would face – training new Paladins.

Keith's heart raced as he shoot up in bed, his hands clutched at his chest, fingers digging into shirt then skin. His eye were wide and wild as he panted, tears burn hot streaks into his cheeks. His mind still swam with the memories of bodies, blood, the scent of burnt flesh, and the convulsive pain of lightning in his skin.
Keith was so sure it had happened, that it was real, but he wasn't in space. He was in his bed, in his dad's old shack. There were no aliens, no magic witch that tortured with magic and killed his friends. It wasn't real, because Keith had no friends named Pidge or Hunk or Allura or Lance. The only friend he had was dead, and he wasn't coming back.
But it was. It was real, and now he had the chance. The chance to fix his mistakes, and save people that he couldn't before. Even if it killed him.

Pidge is not happy, but Lance can't get his mind off of it. Keith has to navigate his love for a post-Allura-death Lance who is know hellbent on finding out how Keith is in bed.

The team never thought much about how much younger Pidge was than them. She easily blew them out the water when it came to intelligence and showed plenty of times she can hold her own. Hell lately she was taking more beatings than any of them and that was exactly the problem.
It didn't take much for the team to notice how often the smaller paladin was targeted. it was apparently very obvious to all of their enemies that the team all shared a soft spot for her and naturally tried to protect her. She's been used as a human shield more times than she can count much to her annoyance. Not that it ever ended well for her captor. she was often quick to put them on her ass herself or one of the others would do it for her. The point is besides the stray blast to the arm or getting tossed in a one on one Pidge never took that big of hits. But that was quickly changing.

Lance McClain didn't exist. At least not truly, he was just a mask. A character Lance created for solo missions from the Blade of Marmora.
He hadn't expected to run into one of his past teachers on said mission, nor get trapped in a tiny, single person pod hurtling through space headed for a strange planet untouched by the Galran interlopers with another species. He especially didn't expect to be taken as another 'human' prisoner by the bulky man in the pod with him. But Lance was a planner, since birth - strategizing had been instilled in him by his older sister and uncle, then it was honed by the Blade of Marmora - so he rolled with it.
He didn't know what would happen after they crashed, but it was certainly not being manhandled to the ground and then strapped to a table. He really didn't expect a pale boy with purple eyes and a strange haircut to bust in.

Summary
Keith Kogane has grown up with the Blade of Marmora. Kolivan is like a father figure to him, Thace and Ulaz are like uncles to him, and he's lived with his mother his entire life. When his mother goes missing in action, he's told she's dead. Keith knows she's alive, though.
After regretfully running away from the only place he's known as home, he goes on a search for his mother. He soon finds one of his uncles after infiltrating a Galra ship, he finds himself helping a human find his way to Earth, a place he's only dreamed of.
Keith finds himself traveling across the galaxy making a name for himself, all while trying to keep the secret of his Galra heritage a secret, playing as another victim of the Galra Empire and trying to fit in with the other humans, because these humans may be his only hope of finding his mother.
