It was silent in the book shop.
It had been for a little over three hours. There were no sounds in the shop other than the noises from the street leaking through the windows and walls; the occasional, loving turn of a page in Aziraphale's book; and intermittent, soft grunts from a sleeping Crowley.
Angels didn't need sleep, and neither did demons. But the pair of land-locked beings had come to rather enjoy a quick snooze, or a night-long slumber, and even, occasionally, for the demon, a drunken stupor-induced visit into unconsciousness that lasted nearly an entire day.
This was one of those occasions.
